Sorry I didn't get to catch up. Yesterday I ventured out of the house on my own, straight to get my hair cut and a pedicure to get all that nasty stuff off my poor foot I can't reach. I go to the same lady all the time, and warned her of my surgery. She said my toes hadn't been done in so long it was if I had fake nails on them  She charged me a lot extra too, but I will take the hit since she had to work so hard to get them looking normal again. That is always the very first place I drive to, and had been putting it off since I was still having so much pain walking. But there comes I time even I can't stand the site of me. Poor DH.

Then I went out for dinner with DH, and came back exhausted. I will not be participating in National Walking Day for obvious reasons

To all the people who are not feeling well, HUGS! I hope you feel better ASAP.

Glad you got it done!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And got to run off to do afternoon thing!!...............CULz

I agree with Sashie, that was quite a catch up!

Happy to hear Dave didn't have to have the stress test. And I adore the love you show for Sunny. Makes my heart warm.

Chicken noodle soup and hot toddies for Jeni. Hope you feel better soon!

Good luck with the eye, Darrel!

Jack, my Dad had his eyes done with diabetes. He almost lost his vision in one eye. Something with a lens collapsing, and falling to the back of the eye. It took about 6 months and a couple extra surgeries to get it right. Not sure if the diabetes was the root of the problem or not.

Happy almost Thursday, Karen!

Sorry to hear about the break up wounds, Becky.

Hello to everyone!

We had a baby bunny massacre in my front yard last night. Let the poodles out for their nightly barkathon. After a while I realized how quite it was and went outside to find all three dogs with multiple dead bunnies. I won't go into all the details, but it was quite an ordeal trying to get them away from the dogs. :( They caught Momma bunny, too, but she escaped. I didn't know bunnies cried.

Bunnies SCREAM. Sorry you had to deal with that. Pretty regular thing here. Our wild bunnies are so used to us and Bubs they are almost tame. Gets them in lots of trouble when they build nests in fenced yards. One day, when I was sitting by pool I heard Ned Mastiff crunching on something. Went over to where he was and saw tiny foot hanging out of his mouth. Really can't scold them as they are only doing what is natural. Mine get praise for catching rats.

Hugs, Big sis

One of my kids rabbits got it's foot caught in a drain cover in our back yard. The screaming was horrific. Had to make a trip to the vet to cast it. Bunny decided that after a couple of days the cast should come off. Chewed it off. Foot healed and bunny was just fine.

Never will forget that scream though.

Good morning gang! Back to below freezing temps here. Won't last long though. May your day be joyous today.

Sent from my Nebula using Tapatalk 2

Low 40s next couple nights here and cold wet days. Pretty unusual this time of year. Caught me in middle of prettying up pool. Was so enjoying real (outside) work as break from decluttering and organizing house. Well, back to the "indoor landfill" as DH calls it. He doesn't count dust, dirt, mud and muck as part of the problem.

Have you guys ever considered an exterminator? I have heard you having rats, mice, spiders and now rabbits running rampant around your home. I can't stand any one of those things, and you can add ants to my hates. Where we live we have armies of ants that invade if we don't call in the professionals. DH tried to keep them in line, but just couldn't. I consider certain things costs of owning a home, and an exterminator is one of them! If we didn't live on the very edge of the city with a lot of vacant land around us, it wouldn't be so bad.

Dang all kinds of vapemail today, RTD, REOSMODS, and the A-7's from the co-op. Scoot, you guys still boiling the A7's?

Opened my co-op box this a.m. All three A8 tanks cracked, as expected but Ken got factory to send him new tubes for all in co-op. The A7 supposed to be black chrome are NOT. These appear to be torched Ss and only minimally darker than the SS. I have a black chrome and these are in no way black chrome. Will post on co-op thread. BTW... being a seasoned SS RBA torcher, although I can't torch them to a dark black I can certainly get them close enough. These are similar to my light torching to produce light brass color only light grey instead of light gold.

Anybody else get something other than ordered very black black-chrome?

Yes, I already posted in the co-op forum that my black was not black, but nothing else was ever said. It is somewhere in the middle of the silver and black one I already have.

Carol should qualify for hospice at this point, since treatment is no longer being considered. They treat the whole family, not just the patient, in going through this time to make sure it is as smooth as possible for everyone involved. It is a wonderful program, and offers nursing without the hoops. They can help you in many ways, I just can't say enough positive things about the program.

ETA: as for the ants, it could be the time of year. My bug guy just told me he hasn't seen any yet, but it is getting near the time they will swarm. I hate, hate, hate ants. If one was on my PV, I would seriously freak out, so thanks for the heads up. I simply cannot tell you how much I hate ants. I was asleep one night and dreamed of ants crawling on me, I woke up and found out it was true. They had their ant highway running behind the headboard, along the pillow, down my arm and out across the room. That was the LAST night we did not have an exterminator. I no longer "let" DH treat them. It was a nightmare, and I swore never again.

I'm in deep woods surrounded by Protected State Park and lake, City and county Protected Habitat and walking trails, Northwood University Protected lands, and Audubon Teaching Center and Protected lands. This is one of the prime habitats for endangered species and some of the best bird watching in the world including right out my windows. Very wild and rough out here. And excepionally beautiful. We want the "wild" right up to the house. Compromises have to be made to live happily here.

I was raised and continue to be a "naturalist" and made very aware of the damage we create to our envitonment starting as a small child. I want to keep our personal and surrounding environment as contaminant free as possible. Few chemicals are an option. I will use rat poison when we have what is going on now with t-rexes eating inside our walls.

Besides that I have very low tolerance to even the sprays extermanators call oderless. I can wal into a space hours after a spraying and get slammed instantly by a migraine. I can't and don’t use most personal care products because of fragrences and other chemicals that either give me migrains and/or cause rashes to open wounds and/or swelling and blisters. I’ve itched all my life. Just part of life. Dyes in food, products, and clothes are murder for my skin. All new clothes have to be washed and rinsed several times because the dyes and manufacturing residues in threads and fabrics can give me open wounds after a few hours of wear.

THE ENVIRONMENT IS MORE FRAGILE THAN MY PERSON!!!! I attempt to do what little I can personally protect what I can.

When one pictures my home and property consider that it is a relatively natural dry rain forrest as undesturbed as possible. Would feel wretched contributing any more to destruction of vital, shrinking protected habitats.

Yep, same here - I had to compare the two A7's I got hard to find the one they considered 'black'. I thought about mentioning it on the co-op, but didn't since there likely isn't a resolution. I'm thinking about taping it up with a pattern or something and etching it with Liquid Plumr. At 8 bucks a pop, what's to lose?

The mini A7 that I broke out is awesome. Pin's nice and stable, vapes like a champ on the stock coil. It'll be interesting to rebuild, it's SO WEE.

I can't take the stuff either, so they never spray IN the house, just immediately around it. I am worse off with an ant bite, I swell up. Our neighbors to the west of us don't spray, and it is like a waterfall of ants coming from over there when they swarm. I don't know how they stand it. The exterminators have less toxic things coming out all the time to keep critters out of the interior, and it is safe for the dogs out there also. I used to have to bring them in, but our dogs are mostly outside and the cat always inside so they use something that doesn't harm the dogs now and I don't have to bring the dogs in anymore. It is amazing the leaps they have made in just the past few years, as I don't react with the stuffy throat and headache I used to get.

But when the wildflowers bloom here, I don't let DH mow them anymore, and that is the only protected thing in our environment! The owls take care of the rabbits (and any neighbors small animals they are stupid enough to let out), the dogs the ground squirrels, just having a cat means no mice or rats, everyone stays away from the fat family of raccoons, the bees are left alone because they aren't africanized (and my bug guy knows I don't want them taken out unless they get taken over), but the spiders and ants and other bugs are fair game. If I see something IN the house, it is war and I will win with a phone call to the exterminator. I live and let live, but not IN my home.

i think now that the illness has progressed carol i'm sure is eligible for hospice care....in the past she was not eligible for a nurse while she was living with me...i was told that i accepted responsibility by taking her in....i would ONLY agree to hospice care in either my home or hers.....i am going to call her doctor to see what our options are as well as speak to her(useless) social worker again...

i don't know if its bull or not but they do have organic spraying for bugs that is NOT harmful to the environment or pets...my property is loaded with deer and i as well as two of my dogs have gotten Lyme disease....lyme disease in a dog can be fatal...so i do have them spray my property all spring and summer....when they are done my property smells like garlic for a few hours...

Nicotine's an organic pesticide. It exists in the nightshades to keep pests away.

Then I wonder why the ants went after Cappy's liquid? Cappy, are you on 0 nic?

I am not sure what our guy is using now, but he knows how I feel about keeping everything safe (including the bees) but taking out any creeping crawling things. They also get rid of the spiders, DH used to get a flashlight and I guess the Black Widows glow or something so he would hunt them. We don't have those any more either, so his midnight flashlight hunts are a thing of the past. Poor DH, I take all his "fun" away.
