Good evening all. I got my stuff from Rob today. My mini has its new button and spring. Again, I tested the mini A7 and it works fine on the Grand. I put it on the mini - hard short again. BUT I learned my lesson and made sure the short stop was in place so at least didn't blow another spring! I had to turn the center pin out past the edge of the atty, and all is well now. Which is exactly opposite of what everyone was saying, so FYI you may need to adjust your pin to your unit and make sure you have short protection!
The Holocron short stops are reusable, I didn't want the ones that once they worked you toss. I am using the short stops from now on and last night anticipating this I ordered Evolve's 2 cent fuse lites. I think they are "flatter" than the short stop, and I don't want to use the woodvils until they have their own short protection. The mini that is on the REO 2.0 was on the woodvil (with the short stop of course) and worked fine but now that I adjusted it for the 2.0 I need to be careful of where I put that atty!
I have oiled the woods, polished the brass on the catch cups, and got the custom wood tips. Here is Sheldon all dressed up:

i never had an A7 short anything - my center pins are in a bit, recessed if you like - and that is why they fail to read on the 'doohickey' i have. But they work fine on my grand and vv grand and it's easy enough to measure them with a meter anyway to bother messing in and out with the center pin.

I will know which I like better once I get the vapesafe2 (that I call 2 cent).
