Gez, don't tell him that! We'll never hear the end of it. :glare:

I'll try the extra light next time for my purple mod. I just can't seem to capture the correct color of it. Thanks.

Of course color setting on computers make a difference but when I got my first Purple, a Polished Mini, I was trying to capture the color as close as possible to view on my monitor. First picture is door and CV Burple Pawn, which to my eye are not pretty together. Next is picture of Purple Polished Mini with Brushed Door and cheap-o DT that is a better match. Both pics taken at same time with a combination of incandescent and CF (compact florescent) lighting. Camera flash was used on "manual" setting so I could adjust the intensity. Camera is a Canon Powershot A640, circa 2006, a very compact camera with fabulous point and shoot but lots of manual options. I mostly use auto or portrait and change ambient lighting when needed. Google Picassa has some nice options for adjusting pics and Photobucket has recently added a lot, too.

Here's another shot that shows purple. I took this shot to illustrate a collapsed spring (center tumbled). Although it was not my intention, when I did a quick shoot, you can see the milling marks inside the REO Minis. Left-polished purple, is the one of the earliest millings, the swirling swishes, middle-tumbled is the most current milling lines ,the circular distinct lines, right-old green is the straight milling lines with rounded corners.

Good! I'm so excited :)
When I tried a 1.5ohm LR carto on my mini it was too hot. I didn't care for that much. I couldn't vape more than 2-3 vapes at a time :(

Ooooo pretty!!!! Is it really that bright? I wanted to have a pink one made but that's a pretty purple!

Good morning everyone! (so far Karen, Pete, and Harley)
images

I'm not very happy with my cat! He woke me up at 6am by pawing at everything paper or plastic in my room to make a crinkle sound.

My sweet Bubs go outside and steal plastic planting pots then go up the stairs and throw them down, pick it up and back up the stairs, throw it down, pick it up and back up the stairs, etc., etc., etc. It's usually more than one chasing up and down the stairs, sometimes all five. The pots are not always empty.

Have a great day.

Hugs, Feisty Alice

It is my birthdsy so even more reason to be Cinco de Drinko in my opinion. Which by the way I'm kind of hurt right now. Hubby hasn't said a word about my birthday and his is Monday so therefore it is hard to forget my birthday. Oh well, day is early I guess.

:bday:Happy Birthday Wishes:bday:
Cynthia

Hoping it improves for you.

Big Hugs, Alice

Cinco de Mayo

I am part Spanish/Cuban. All the good parts! My Mom's family.

Today I celebrate this day that my "special" relatives on "that side" of my family recognize.

Many years we had to ignore our Spanish heritage.

Well, Today I am embracing it!

Here is a Rum and Coke for "the best" side!

A little later I will deep fry some jalapeno poppers, split jalapenos with cream cheese dipped in flour!

My Abuela (spanish for Grandma) and my uncles!

Let me explain further....I have very little natural light at my desk. So most of the light comes from one of those curly cue bulbs in my desk lamp...I forget what they're called. So to add another type of light is what I did...an LED set up. That way more parts of the color spectrum are visible because there are more light frequencies involved. I know this is not the proper terminology, but I think this explains it well enough without me having to go research it more. It's still not going to give a perfect representation, but close enough for my tastes. Does that make sense?

Yes, except the "LED set up" part. What is that? Don't waste time researching it. I could do that myself if I wasn't so lazy.

Well I'm all caught up. I didn't take too long now that this thread loads faster.

Happy Birthday Cinthia.

Happy Cico de drinkco everyone.

Yes, Darrel, it did get the juices flowing. :p

Thanks Lisa for more explaination for how to capture purple.

Cinthia...if DH doesn't come up with a big surprise birthday present by the end of the day then sweet revenge is in order. Forget his. :D If it's after yours anyway. I can't remember if you said his was before or after yours.

Good afternoon to all.
