Hey Alice. This is off-topic but did you see the big recall for Diamond dog foods? It also includes some of Kirkland foods and is due to the possibility of salmonella. Since you and I were both beating the drum for Kirkland foods recently, I thought you would want to know. If this is old news to you, never mind. I think the announcement came out yesterday. My sweet Bubs go outside and steal plastic planting pots then go up the stairs and throw them down, pick it up and back up the stairs, throw it down, pick it up and back up the stairs, etc., etc., etc. It's usually more than one chasing up and down the stairs, sometimes all five. The pots are not always empty.

It is my birthdsy so even more reason to be Cinco de Drinko in my opinion. Which by the way I'm kind of hurt right now. Hubby hasn't said a word about my birthday and his is Monday so therefore it is hard to forget my birthday. Oh well, day is early I guess.

Washington isn't listed either. I suspect that a certain lot of foods was shipped to certain states and we fortunately were not among them. I don't remember Texas there either, but I thought Alice would find it interesting. This isn't the first time this has happened to Diamond Dog Foods. Some years ago, a bunch of dogs died from bad Diamond food. On the bright side, now after this occurrence, Diamond will likely be extraordinarily cautious with the safety of their foods.

Yep, the plan was for all of us to come here, but 2 of the kids decided it was too hot for them....our youngest is here with us still...he'll be graduating from college in a week....

Let me explain further....I have very little natural light at my desk. So most of the light comes from one of those curly cue bulbs in my desk lamp...I forget what they're called. So to add another type of light is what I did...an LED set up. That way more parts of the color spectrum are visible because there are more light frequencies involved. I know this is not the proper terminology, but I think this explains it well enough without me having to go research it more. It's still not going to give a perfect representation, but close enough for my tastes. Does that make sense?

Here's another shot that shows purple. I took this shot to illustrate a collapsed spring (center tumbled). Although it was not my intention, when I did a quick shoot, you can see the milling marks inside the REO Minis. Left-polished purple, is the one of the earliest millings, the swirling swishes, middle-tumbled is the most current milling lines ,the circular distinct lines, right-old green is the straight milling lines with rounded corners.

Cinco de Mayo

I am part Spanish/Cuban. All the good parts! My Mom's family.

Today I celebrate this day that my "special" relatives on "that side" of my family recognize.

Many years we had to ignore our Spanish heritage.

Well, Today I am embracing it!

Here is a Rum and Coke for "the best" side!

A little later I will deep fry some jalapeno poppers, split jalapenos with cream cheese dipped in flour!

Jalapeno poppers (with cream cheese, not cheddar) are my favorite! I can never wait to eat them so I always burn my tongue.


Hi REOkin! I just found out about the Deals and Specials thread Completely overwhelming but amazing. I'm excited to try Mt. Baker Vapor. I need more ejuice and it's really really cheap.

I got an order from Mt Baker a couple of weeks ago. i found the Raspberry & Blueberry weak in flavor, 50/50. I emailed him and he will add extra shots if you put it in the comments. I will try 80/20 next time. DW really likes the Irish Cream. But you can't beat the price of a 30ml.

Good evening Reoheads! I just finally got caught up, well mostly. Looks like everyone is having a great Cinco De Mayo. I took the station vehicle across the street to the Community Cinco De Mayo festival, just parked it. It has 22'in wheels and it was perfectly intact when I got back 6 hours later. See stereotypes aren't cool!

I walked around a bit before I left and none of the vendors signs were in english, so I didn't order anything but it smelled good!
