LOL. Yeah, Darrel, I have a 4x4 pick-up too. But the Nissan with front-wheel drive and studded tires is actually a much more pleasant rig to drive even in the winter under most circumstances. It's only when the snow is so deep that it drags bottom that I have a problem. It also gets about twice the mpg of my pick-up.

Couldnt live without my trusty '96 F-350. All new super-duty suspension, International 444 c.i. Turbo Diesel. Superchipped to get 25+ mpg at 350 hp but goes down to around 18 mpg at 450 hp. Almost done with it, just needs carpets. I've got nearly 30 grand into it but thats still half the cost of a new truck.

That is a heckofa truck.
I just have a basic F-150 with the old straight 6. Bought it new in 1994--has 56,000 miles on it. Shows how much I drive it. I use it for wood-hauling and dump runs and that's usually about it. Still looks pretty much like new.

Thanks Karen!
Thanks Jan!

Roger and Ed~my first car was a VW beetle, but my first truck was a '79 F-150, jet black and customed out with lots of chrome and glass packs. Wish I still had that ol' truck.

Storming here, internet in and out. Waiting for the power to go. Have a great day everyone, just in case I disappear!

There are pictures...real pictures in albums at my folks house.
My beetle was blue...my heart still thuds a little when I see one still driving on the roads.
