Anyone notice that the retailer Best Buy's stocks are in free-fall? It's not looking good for them. I'll be sad to see Best Buy go down. I've always enjoyed browsing through their extensive computer and electronics selection before eventually walking out and making my purchase online.

Della you are right about country folk liking basic good food. The ones here that came in from other places went out of biz, people like what they like here. Waht they grew up with.
Lavaca that cornbread and purple hullled peas sounds dreamy, exactly how I make it too.

Been scarce and gonna be scarce maybe .. was in PT for my knees, well something while we were working my hips went astray with the herniated discs in my back, was unable to even walk, stand, or sit. Sheer agony that ya'll w/bad backs don't need me to explain.
They had to bring in the Big Guns----high powered methyl prednisone steroids pack, pain killers and muscle relaxers (never taken a perscription pain killer except for dental work---just always got by on aleve). Still can't sit long or stand up straight but it's better today than it has been.
Looks like I'll be spending the remainder of winter in PT, 3x a week now. But I'm sure it will help me, and I'm looking forward to being more able-bodied by March.
My reos are still very able bodied though and working their charms.

It's like some women using nail polish remover in small bathroom with hot water heater that runs on gas or propane.....open flame.....acetone will blow you up.
Never a bad idea to make sure you are in well ventillated area when using any kind of chemicals. A rule I follow quite seriously.

There's always something to worry about, isn't there? Whether Mcdonald's coffee is burning the hair off your privates or your favorite wart remover is setting the house on fire, the world just isn't a safe place. Always somebody out to get ya.

Eh. A little common sense goes a long way.
During the ice storm, when branches were falling like crazy, I wore my construction grade hard hat to take the dogs out.
People are killed all the time by simply not practicing simple safety measures. Including having a huge falling ice shard crack their skull open. I have friends who burnt their eyes up welding w/out a shield, they know better of course, they just thought "oh, it's just a few seconds".........ouchie!!!!! Those really reallly hurt for a few days.

I wonder why they're going under?
On the food note. I find the most simple things are the best. Cucumbers and onions in vinegar and sugar, Red potatoes smoked sausage and fresh green beans, Red beans and rice with meat, Fried tatters and onions (it's an entree at my house). And the list goes on and on. Comfort foods are the best things in life.
It might have something to do with Best Buy's shady sales and/or service tactics that changed me and others from being bonafide customers to window-shoppers only.

Our local store's sales people are so obnoxious I quit window shopping there too..............
Mine too, but I usually put Green Peppers and/or Jalapeno's in the mix.

Probably because of what they did up here right close to christmas last year the employees showed up in the morning to locked doors and signs saying they were closed Not very good
besides they are owned by future Shop anyways

About a year ago the little flat firing spring on my Reo Mini gave out and every time I checked the Reo site they were always out of stock so I put aside my mini until about a week ago when I came across it again and finally checked the Reo site when they had the repair kits in stock and of course that darned Reo Mini 2.1 was calling out to me something fierce. A week goes by with me checking the site every day to see if my preferred raw, tumbled or polished version was in stock and woohoo, today there was a tumbled just for me
