Thanks Delilah! Yeah, I think a solid front door is definitely the way to go. The glass looks good, but with a piece of it knocked out exactly where someone would put their hand in and reach in to unlock the deadbolt is messing with my head. There wasn't enough of it knocked out for them to have done that, but one more blow and it would be a done deal.

Since we couldn't find the glass, I am almost thinking maybe it was an accident and then they saw the crack and somehow managed to get the glass out? I just can't figure it out. DH and I both looked for any sign of broken glass inside and out, and not one little piece was found?



Is anyone else watching the mini-series Klondike? I DVR'd it and started to watch it, but I think DH would enjoy it so will wait to watch it with him. Anyone else see it have an opinion?

Wow I must need another cup of coffee... Because until this post.... I thought you were talking about the truck. Like the truck had glass panels and I was like ...?!? Where did you find those?!? And won't you need glass to see?!? Lol!

Sun is out now!!! I have to go back out and turn the van around. I will let some of the ice melt away..........it is 13 out still.

I am so sorry! It would be way to rough for me to live in a area that got even more snow! I do good with just the little I have to do. And when I am working it is tough. Only acetaminophen allowed while here.

The sun did melt the ice off the back and sides. Now it can work on the front! I sprayed some de-ice stuff on it also. Overnight it will probably freeze solid once again.

I don't think I will be going home(Louisiana) to the place I grew up in ever again, life has changed and it will never be the same again.
It was a painful realization, but I'm thankful for the new knowledge.

While we were away my neighbor broke into our home(Georgia) and attacked our babysitter who was house sitting.
She fought for her life and slashed him up with our serrated bread knife.
She's doing okay, no injuries, he's in jail after a trip to the hospital.

Good evening fellow cult members. Cold in upstate NY today but no snow. Made some corn bread with Jans recipe. Turned out well but next time I will add more sugar. Guess I need really sweet corn bread. Honey on top fixed it all up. Beef stew went well with it.

Photographed three apartments today where college students lived. I guess college rooms looks the same as they did 45 years ago. Posters on the wall of Jimi Hendrix, Moody Blues etc. Empty beer bottles here and there. One apartment had lots of vinyl records and two turntables..very cool. Dishes piled up in the sink and messy beds. THought I was in a time warp.Turned on the flux capacitor walked out the door and it was jan 21, 2014 and I had aged a lot. Did I mention I made corn bread today? Oh yeah, looks like I did. Shuffles off in slippers and bathrobe to look out the window to keep track of the neighbors comings and goings.
