Awww Imissed Ed was going to tell him Firefly juped my Reo 2.1 which was okay I was vaping another and now he's on about getting another grand so he can have one at his desk. Good ole Kenny Rogers. He was the first celebrity I ever met. I was working as a busboy in a steakhouse when I was 14. He came in and had dinner and left me a $20 tip and only $5 for the waitress. That was really cool of him I thought as no one ever tips the busboy. Signed a napkin for an autograph as well. Was very pleasant to us all. I was glad my Dad had a couple of his albums and I knew all of his hits so i was properly starstruck even though most of my musical tastes ran to hard rock at the time, I did have good exposure to country and disco as well.

Little quirks that need to address once in awhile, like empty water after use and set water bowl out to dry and hoses, pipes needs to be assembled before use....its like a cannister vac so if you don't take it apart you don't need to reassemble. DW is interested if discount is true
Funny story. Got a call tonight from somewhere India caller states he's with windows. And my comp has sent a notification that it has a virus. He says he can help fix it for me. So I start to play with him. And finally I ask how much this will cost me. That all depends on how bad it is. This is about where I inform him I'm not as stupid as he is and maybe he should do better research before trying to scam people as there are no computers in this house running windows I said a few things I'm not allowed to post here and hung up on him. He got pretty flustered when I told him this is an all apple house I guess these ...... get enuf peeps that its worth their while but not me

So I start to play with him. And finally I ask how much this will cost me. That all depends on how bad it is. Way to go Darrel, the more time they're on the line with you the less time they have trying to victemize the next guy. Plus it costs money to run these scams, so the best thing you can do to these phone jockeys is eat up the clock, the way I see it. I usually let em pitch a lil and then tell them to hold on a moment because someones at the door, or looking for my checkbook, etc.

This must be a guy thing. It really chaps my hide when DH does that crap. It wastes MY time too, because we are usually eating, or watching a movie when he pulls this time waster. I am always having to pause the movie, or let my dinner get cold while I wait for him to get off the damn phone.
Not to mention that many, many years ago I had a job trying to sell newspapers over the phone, I was trying to make an honest living to put a roof over my head and pay tuition. I guess the scam one from India deserves it, but not the poor soul who can't get any other job due to lack of skills and has to try to sell you cable. Just sayin'

. The only thing that goes inland here is a 13ft gamefisher, canoes, rafts and people swimming with rubber tubes, even the surfers know better. But if you insist, I'll buy C.O.D., sell to a foreigner so they can sell it back to Canada for 2x the money

Val, first off let me say, hello my dear. New thread, new light, the prettier you become to me. Now about the foot soldiers just doin' their job part - I never make it personal. I know the guy on the other end wants to be there about as much as we want to go to a dentist. I also know the man that just served me a #1 Value meal from McDonalds tonight, who was a little older than me, probably wasn't part of his gameplan early in life. So whether you're being legally solicited or some dirty hustle, the plan stays the same. You let them pitch, faint interest, never insult them, excuse yourself. The phone jockey does his job, but his boss takes a hit. I mean, it's a passive way to hit 'em where it hurts, instead of just taking it out on the poor guy on the other end. Plus it wastes their resources, win-win.
