someone reported getting a bad taste from the stuff at walgreen's. as far as cvs goes, the trick is to look in the first aid section. the stuff found in other sections are not sterile and will taste bad.

I live in Canada, theres no CVS's here.. So if anyone feels like being very friendly and would ship me a box of that good stuff id greatly appreciate it?!?!? Cuz ive looked everywhere and was looking for that type of thing cuz its what i saw people using in the youtube vids. Nothing like that here in Canada from what I can see...

Darrel, that video about the Empty Pickle Jar was awesome. I'm going to post that on FB to share with my daughters.

Not into trucks, but both my nephew and one of my future son-in-law's are. At our family reunion picnic earlier this summer, the guys spent a lot of time checking out my nephew's truck.

Homemade bread and tomato basil soup - mouth-watering combination. I haven't baked for a long time, but was thinking that I should bake some pumpkin bread this fall.

My husband got the windshield wipers working on my Bug today; just in time as we had rain last night and earlier this morning.

We just got back from a small, impromptu last day of summer BBQ at our neighbor's across the street - chicken, carne asada, chili, tortillas. Got sent home with enough chicken and carne asada that all I need to get for dinner tonight are some tortillas.

One or Two weeks, not sure yet.
DH is with his family now (his mother was diagnosed with cancer 1 week after my mom) so when he comes back, we'll figure things out.

We're trying...it's tough.
I think we're going to be two passing ships in the night with all the back and forth travelling...but it's ok...what's important is that we can be there for our moms.

Someone told me last night that regular 100% cotton balls work fine and so do the cotton on the ends of q-tips... So i dunno what to think.

Also could someone link me to the supporting member thread where it shows you how to sign up and what you receive when you become a supporting member... Im having trouble finding it, Thanks

Matt..I use only regular cotton balls, don't boil them or anything...they taste just fine...edit..."they" don't taste at all, Just my delicious juices!

ask your pharmacist what kind of cotton balls or rolled cotton is suitable for treating raw, oozing wounds. whatever he/she recommends should be fine. (er, ya might want to use your own words for that)

ripping tufts from a Q-tip will work fine. that stuff has to be sterile-- any brand.

NicoHog buys organic cotton from health food stores- another option.

i know Justice is a canadian who checks this thread often. he may be able to offer some help, even tho he's on the west coast.

and, in a pinch, pm me your address and i'll send ya a lifetime supply. the least i could do for a Reonaut whose very first Reo is a woodie, who hasn't even received it yet is and going through all the prep work you're doing

Now I searched everywhere possible and this is the only other thing I could find... Organic cotton balls.. Will these work better than 100% cotton balls or no?

Just go ahead and try the cotton balls...if you do get some sort of slight "taste' at first and don't care for it, there's plenty of other uses for it. But you might be like me and realize they're just fine.
