Lol I am planning an rv/bike trip to Nova Scotia for a couple weeks this summer. Gonna bike around the coast, sampling the seafood so I will have to renew my passport.

A ride sounds great! In fact when the husband gets off duty today, that's our plan. AFTER a quickie trip to the mall for a new nose stud that won't get knocked out on the highway. Heaven only knows where we'll end up though. He tends to just go...maybe we'll discover some new part of Alabama again.

They're stripping the panels today. Tomorrow I think we'll go out with some shovels and a pump and see what we can do about the water. We may not need to as the weather has been gloriously sunny yesterday, today...and will be for the coming days, but we never know until we get there. As much as we like being up there on the property, we're trying to stay out of their hair. We like to talk a lot and it slows the work down some.
Good deal Lisa. I was keeping an eye on your weather I saw big storms couple days ago and wondered how it affected you there. Also watching the recovery efforts and the community coming together there. Heartening to say the least.

Ya...we've had enough rain for a while. Wish it would go to California instead.
Yes...I'm on a few community boards and it's amazing how when disaster strikes, they really pull it together. I've experienced this in my own life...about 25 years ago...and the awe never really goes away, nor does the sadness to be honest. My heart has been aching for those folks in ways I can't put into words. Now I only check in once a day, because I was getting too emotionally wrapped up and needed to step back. I am personally not directly affected....but feel helpless nonetheless.
