Aw...thanks Scoot! But i just want my profile back with all the friends and PM's.....

You were verified with oldbroad so go to paypal and find your email address there because they had to be the same. Once you have your email you should have a new password from ecf in it so you should be able to log in to oldbroad.

What happened is when the ecf forums went down everyone got issued a new password. I hope you get your name back because you have so much history with it.

Good evening REOvillians!

Welcome to all the new REOnauts :) (especially the new guy with DARYL aka Norman Reedus in the avie)

I hope everyone is having a wonderful day. I saw someone mention tomatoes. I have been bringing in the plants every night, taking them back out every day to get a jump start. It's a pain, but it will be worth it getting some tomatoes in sooner.

I know some of you may know that we lost our old dog a while ago, and that my cat was sick. Well, my beloved cat passed away here at home a bit ago. I was devastated. Beau sat with me everyday through all my surgeries, and pretty much never left my side the whole year I couldn't drive or go anywhere really. Then the dog who was so wonderful with our old dog and cat, and who was the only animal here, lunged at a child. Then nearly attacked another dog, and would have had I not held onto her tight. Then another child got snapped at. Well, I found a new cat and have been taking my time with her and she is just wonderful! She is just like my Beau, and I named her Bella. I wasn't able to find a purebred kitten, and I didn't want to wait until next fall, so finding her was a god send. She isn't a little kitten, she is 10 months old so still so active and playful. She looks like Beau, she has the same loving personality. I was pretty much just a sobbing mess for a while, and having Bella has helped get over the loss.

The dog and the cat were getting along fine at first, they were nose to nose and there was no problems at all. The cat has no fear of her, and wants to play with her. But then the dog lunged at the cat. I am at my wits end with having a dog I can't trust to not bite a child or another animal - even our animal! I can't even imagine it quite frankly, and I don't think I could stand losing another animal but the dog has turned so nasty and unpredictable. I honestly do not know what to do with her, with us she is wonderful. When she went for the cat I grabbed her so fast and pulled her back, but I can't get that nasty growl out of my head. I am not dealing with it well. DH knows about the dog attacking the 2 kids and the other dog (he witnessed one of the kid attacks, and in every case we managed to stop her from biting) and we keep her away from kids now. But he doesn't know about her attacking the cat. It happened the other day and he is out of town, and I really don't want to tell him until he gets home. It's just a very stressful situation for me, keeping the dog away from kids and other animals on our walks and now in our home? My heart is just broken all over again because I think DH may decide she can't be here any longer. I know it is the right thing to do to keep people and animals safe, but the choices aren't pretty. She either stays outside alone all the time or locked in the other room by herself, or she has to go.

Anyway, that is why I haven't really been around much. Just being at the computer without Beau bothering me was heartbreaking, and knowing the last animal you still have with you is a dangerous dog you may have to get rid of is pretty heartbreaking also. Now I have Bella, but that doesn't seem to be less stressful at all! They are kind of like your kids ya know?

Any advice?

The part of Canada that doesn't get enuf Snow :(
Val when I got Simba he was very aggressive to kids now he loves most kids especially Gatlin I do still watch him but when Gatlin pushes too hard Simba growls and runs away I usually use the softest training I can but Simba needed to be bitten real hard until he screamed in pain I did this 4-5 times over a few days and like I said they are buddies now. You have to become the Alpha it is the only way A few dog hairs in the mouth is nothing compared to a mauled kid. Be careful that the dog can't bite you back tho as they will sometimes try at first If for some reason I had to bite Simba now he'd let me but it is a last resort to me good luck :)

Thanks Darrel. DH is going to have to do that, I just can't see my way to biting a dog! I wish she would growl and run away, but she growls and lunges. I can tell by her body language and the look in her eye when she is going batty, and have managed to grab her in time. I just hate it for her, she was so sweet with everyone before. I think maybe all the other pets disappearing one by one and leaving her as the only pet didn't work out so well. All of the sudden she was a spoiled inside dog because we felt sorry for her being lonely. She isn't a small dog, and it isn't defensive on her part but aggressive. If she ever connects that mouth with her target, there will be damage done. The entire cat's head would fit in there.

I will tell DH what you said worked for you. I just have one question: Did Gatlin do the biting to make him the alpha, or did you do it?
