Ok, a poison oak update........got desperate. Everclear seem to help some. But I just put on brake fluid cleaner. Oh the smell. Probably a good think I don't still smoke. heehee Who knows... this might work.

Ive got everything minus the peas in the crock now it can cook till the morning then I will pull the bones and put the peas in and it can cook till tomorrow night its gonna be a gooder this time I can tell lots of meat in it might as well put it in there or the walking poopmachine will eat it all

I think it is a law or something but I think you can substitute bacon for anything.

It's still pig bacon would be expensive for the way I make it plus cooking off the bone I think gives a lot of the flavours. But ya it would work . If I was to trade for bacon I bet I'd have $30-$40 worth of bacon in my soup tonight

Hey, I have a non-bacon related question. I was at CVS tonight and the cotton was in a roll. Is that what people use in their coils? $6 was to high for me unless there is a good reason why I can't just use 100% cotton balls. Which I thought all cotton balls where all cotton. Someone said to burn a piece of the cotton ball to find out if it is 100% cotton. ??? I should be getting my 28 gauge Kanthal Wednesday and I need to get prepared.

I use 100% organic cotton balls. 6 bucks and you will have a 10 year supply

I buy the ones that say ORGANIC cotton balls. I switch my wick every day sometimes twice a day. I get like 10 wicks from one cotton ball
