As much as I had to like your post Scott, I wish there was a "hate" button :) Raining here so no chance of grilling out. No, I'm not bitter.... J/K'ing around. Oh well, maybe later this weekend. Just do me a favor a savor a bite of steak for me, will ya?

Oh honey....:( You'd starve here in Washington. We grill rain or shine...sleet or snow.

Nah, I'd just head down to Val's. She's always cooking something yummy. And I bet you'd feed me a little bit as well :) My real problem is no one to help me grill and for the first time in 20 years I live in an apartment house. Not a regular house. Prior to moving here I lived in FL for 20 years and I grilled or smoked 4 or 5 days out of 7.

Plus, I got another bunch of garbage to deal with lately so my mood overall isn't what it could be. Wish I could talk about it and get it off my chest but I can't vent on this one in a public forum.

Happy July 4th....give thanks for our freedom....well got the Reo built...really enjoying it
View attachment 353042

Just curious... what Ohms coils did you build ? I always tried for about 1.4 ohm when I had a Mini kinda like that.
But that might just be me being .... ME ! :D
Got home around lunchtime and went strait for the old man nap. ZZZzzzZZZzzz...Now just chilling out, relaxing. Have previous engagement that always falls on the first Friday of every month, so I doubt I'll be grilling or enjoying fireworks. But 21 years Clean and Sober is Freedom for me, so I'll be in a good place this evening.
Happy Independence Day, REOVille :toast:

Good Independence Day Scott! Still no good with names but what the heck.
I'm trying something new but old today. I've been using Rayon for wicking material. I didn't start having these problems till I started using the Rayon. (Thank you Tresa for the smack in the head with a 2x4). Rewicked all 5 with sterile cotton, which I've had really good luck with.
Don't know if it will help or not. But sure as heck won't hurt to try.

With the COPD I have I was always wary of the rayon material. Never had a problem with the sterile cotton.
But then again I also been getting air quality alerts lately. Who knows. (The shadow knows).

Good evening all!

Took a long nap today after my boy left. I'll be up for a while now, that's for sure! Y'all are killing me with all this talk about steak. And asparagus, my favorite vegetable. No hope for any of that tonight. Thundering and raining plus all the stores closed up hours ago.

That's all ok though, I've got a bacon cheeseburger or two I bought from the local pizza place last night. Can heat em up in the microwave and they're good to go. So at least I get some cow. Maybe some chipmunk, too :) Ya just never know these days.......

I'd be willing to trade a couple of combo burritos for a bacon cheeseburger. These burritos are a real good colon cleaner. :D

Hey all, unfortunately my black reo mini shorted and the spring melted some months ago. I have been wanting to fix it. Is this the spring I need to buy to fix it http://www.reosmods.com/index.php?p...&category_id=3&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=9 ? Thanks!

edit: Also looking for some new attys for my mini and noticed he is out of stock. Any other good places to order attys?

Yes, that is the spring you need. But you might want to consider a total rebuild kit for it instead. New firing contact made of beryllium copper and gold plated along with the spring and new center post, new bottle and tubing, and heat resistant button. Your Mini will be all set!

I ended up at 1.6 was trying for a little lower...but my first read was 2.1 so removed a few wraps and decided to stick with the 1,6 for first build. I'm almost through my first bottle of juice and have really enjoyed it today. I can't believe how easy it is to use. Still perfecting the skwonk:laugh:

I like the idea of the upgrade kit but I am afraid I would mess it up and if I mess up the mini that would be it for my reo relationship. The mini was a gift and at the moment I am a recent post grad with no real full time job so buying a new reo would be unrealistic. Thank you for confirming that, that is the spring. Do you know where I can get some new bottom fed attys for a good price?

Get the new spring and make sure you double check all your atties, with the cap on before you use them. That is the cheapest solution.

If there is a fault in your Reo, rather than the atty, the new spring will also melt and you'll be back to square one. But then the Reo will have to be sent in for repair if you're certain it's not your atty build at fault.

Hey IG. It takes a bit of time to get the bottles broken in. IMHO. Once it gets right. Squonking will be like breathing. Very normal. (At least for us squonkers. (Ok how ever you spell it. I didn't do good with spelling or writing, and spell check don't know what that word means).

Even after two years, I will often remove the drip tip, stare directly down into the RM2, and squonk until I see liquid reach the top of the posts. I always use cotton, so dry hits need to be avoided :p I think it was Gil who said you could blind squonk an RM2; turn the Mod up so it is horizontal instead of vertical (like your pictures ) with the airhole pointing down, and draw slightly on the drip tip. If you hear a slight gurgle, your REOS is ready.
1.6 ohms is probably a good smooth vape for a little mod like that. And, yes, it is the Ease of Use that keeps me coming back to REOS Mods. When steering 78,000 pounds of truck, trailer and freight at 70+ MPH along the Interstate, I don't have time to 'fidget' with my PV. The REOS is easy, one handed operable. Perfect for a tired old Trucker like me.
And don't worry; Once you get the hang of your 'new' little REOS, the New Grand you've been eyeing on Rob's website will look even better ! Enjoy, and please keep us posted.
