The better half and I cancelled our upcoming Carnival cruise and rebooked with Norwegian, debated this over a couple days, this would have been our 5th cruise with them and have enjoyed every one. Why you might ask, this will probably leave some scratchin' their heads :?:

Carnival just made a change to their smoking policy regarding the balconies, which now prohibits the use of tobacco anywhere other than the few designated areas. Ok, I no longer smoke, right? So I can still wake up, throw on my robe, watch the sunrise while drinkin' my coffee and in complete vaping bliss, ummm not when they are including vaping/ecigs in their new restrictions :glare:

Yeah more than likely I would have gotten away with it without "offending" my neighbors if I did it anyway, but it's more the principal of the matter and inconvenience of being forced into the over crowded smoking areas. I have no issue with those that smoke and feel they have the same rights as others to not be overly inconvenienced on their vacation. I pay extra for a balcony so I can have those moments of solitude away from the masses and enjoy a quiet drink and vape (smoke in prior years)...

On the plus side we now have 2 more days on the cruise, going to 2 ports we haven't been to and a comparable balcony room for $110 more per person :thumb:

Anyway me has lots of pent up frustration over how smokers (most of us here) have been treated as 3rd class citizens and the over the top anti smoking hysteria we have endured...

Semi rant over ;)

Good for you Uno Mas!

I have friends that smoke, but i do not wish to be herded into areas with them in order to vape.

HRH and i now always ask what, for example, a hotel's policy is regarding vaping in rooms and the last few times we have stayed in them, they are quite happy with us vaping in non-smoking rooms. Which tells you all you need to know; if businesses that have to clean up after guests consider vapers as non-smokers, so do i!

By the way you are not alone - i read of a similar occasion where a guy used to book loads of rooms and take his business colleagues and employees to a casino until they got arsy about vaping and so he rebooked the lot elsewhere!

this is my first post here, have had my reo for about a week, dang i wish i had skipped everything else and just started here, loving it, dont know why anyone would want anything else(except maybe a full brass mod with a kraken, my second favorite setup)

Welcome to Reoville! Yeah, I wish I'd skipped over the all the cruft before landing here. Could have saved a lot of money. But, the upside is that you can compare the Reo to what else is out there because you've been there. So instead of having a Reo and wondering what's better and possibly spending the money anyway to find out there's nothing better, you have some perspective to put the Reo in. I no longer lust after other mechs. Nothing out there offers me more than I have. But I'd not have known that had I not gone there before here.

Anyway, welcome, and feel free to ask away if you have any questions. Reoville is a very friendly place!

Greetings all,

Took a little break from my relaxation time to stop in and say hi! (And relaxing is the best thing I can do at this point until Monday comes and goes.)

Hope you're loving your new kitty, Scott! I'm glad you found one so quickly! If I could just catch that stray kitten living under my porch..... I could set a trap up but there's tons of them down there and I'd likely not catch the one I want... I've spoken to management, they may be able to help me.

Hope y'all have a great day!

Well said Black6host -- Idk how many times I said to myself, now self, there is just no way a Reo can be better than any other mechanical out there..well I'm telling old self a different story now that yes indeed, Reos are a better vape. I'm hoping this isn't just me experiencing this but my favorite juices all taste better in the Reo.

I just got a new Molehill in for the reo with a 4mm hole in the barrel. Vapes really good.

Nope, not just you. I'd bet the vast majority here think the Reo offers the best there is. I know I do :)

It's not just that; the fact is that Rob has made a lot of improvements to Reos, especially as us lungburners have nagged for more variety in useable atties = LP Reos, less filing and noalox using low Ω builds = gold plated contacts and springs.

My long-suffering grand has all these modifications and it's a better vape now than when i bought it. It's also less hassle to maintain and i can still wash it out under a faucet!

Yeah I'm not deluding myself to the fact that I am nothin' more than a number to any/all the companies or corporations that I use or purchase from, but it does hit a little harder when you realize that you are part of a group that's just some corporate bean counters acceptable loss...

I figure at the most maybe 5% will make the decision we did to cruise with another company, will this really hurt them in the long run ?, probably not...

The only satisfaction I did get out of this was that I was offered some purdy nice incentives to keep my booking with them, but I tend to be hardheaded about certain things and my mind was made up...

Yes I was looking through the history of the Reos mods. They have been through many changes. I feel blessed about being on the receiving end of so much input on them. I only wished he, ( Rob ) would keep the RDAs in stock for the LP Grands. I had to settle with a 2.0 and wanted a 4.0 or at least a 3.0 for the LP. Oh well I have bought it now and it didn't take me long to figure out I would have little space in the 2.0 for a Super Ninja Flying Squirrel (or simply a twisted 28ga.) to run on her. She vapes just fine for now but I intend on getting the OrigenV2 BF for her. Anything should go with that RDA.

I'm not sure what they would regard as an acceptable loss. But look at my banner and double it and that is what HRH and i have not spent on cigarettes - it's not small change!

Allied to the fact that a lot of vapers of my age are approaching their career and earnings peaks and you have a demographic group with some not inconsiderable financial muscle. Not to mention some of the retired old farts!

What does a cruise cost? a few $ 000 usually...and they lost that because they failed to see that vaping on your private balcony was no worse than boiling a kettle! LMAO. If i screwed something like that up at my work and lost sales like that, my bosses would be fuming.

No shame in that..I'm the same way. I almost didn't even go with a Reo because of the web site being low stocked pertaining to mod choices and RDAs. I actually came out better because as I understand it these upgrades to the mods that now allow for sub ohm vaping has just been put into effect for a couple of months. Well that and Rob never answered my PM about the mod I wanted a few months back..lol
Glad I waited. ;)
