Hiya Scott,

Being as dreading is a long process, one which doesn't look good until some time has passed.... I'm holding off. For now. But I'll probably do it once things settle down. I think it would look good on me but as per others advice, now may not be the right time. I'll just go for the blues guitarist/biker look I've already got, and I do play the blues and can ride like hell so it works out :)

How are you doing?

pretty good buddy thanks

Dark side of the moon
never heard of Laura Love

Good Morning!

She's been on Austin City Limits so she's known. (Not everyone gets invited there) However I will agree that that was a tough one. I think I'm going to set up some rules for this game that makes sure it's relatively solvable. I'll have to think about it. I know one rule, you can't directly look up the lyrics given. Doesn't mean you can't look up the artist on youtube. But then I'll need to make sure the artist is on youtube (she is) as well as the song (it isn't). I'll have to think about this. I want it to be fun, maybe expose someone to music they might like and certainly don't want to make it frustrating.

Open for ideas...

And Neil Young, He's a truly wonderful artist. Was listening to him back when he was with Buffalo Springfield.

Good Morning Hugs to all
LaieA_062.gif

The lyrics were: I don't walk a mile for a cigarette at the corner store - Artist Laura Love
(I'll be posting the clues with the correct answer as they will disappear once I add a new one....)

Ah, we have a winner again!!!!!!!! How'd you find out Torey? Did you like the song?

I'm still going to revise the rules a bit but it seems you're doing just fine! Great job!

I'll post another sometime today or this evening.

And good morning to ya!

Edit: Laura Love plays bass as well as being the lead singer. Her music will contain social commentary and much of it has a strong funk influence. One of my favorites (out of hundreds and those change daily :) )

I could not find this song but I listened to Come As You Are. I do love learning about new artists though. You've introduced me to some good ones.

Ah, bending the rules are we? :) Ok, no more of that but I am going to make it easier simply because much of the music I listen to is rather obscure. Good, but obscure. For example, is anyone here familiar with an album called Have Moicy? Released in 1976 and was named “the greatest folk album of the rock era” by The Village Voice’s Robert Christgau.

Sorry, I didn't know that was a rule. I can't be trusted because things bother me until I find the answer.

That's ok, the party has just started. I'll come up with a set of rules that makes the song possible to find, but not too easy. :) Solvable by those who care to look.......

Just thought it'd be a fun thing for people who love music and want to play the game and maybe be exposed to new artists :)

Edit: this is a new thing for me so it might take a bit to fine tune........
