Good morning REOvillians!

Welcome Spooky, looks like you did your homework. I hope you love your new REO as much as we love ours :)

Oh, and welcome to any other new members I didn't get a chance to say "hello" to.

SCOTT, I keep missing you either by minutes or hours, so just wanted to say hello, and give Arwin a nice scratch for me please.

Have a great day everyone!

I've been reading good things. I'm anxious to try it out.

I've been lurking for a while, I think I finally made it through this entire thread. I want you to know I'm thinking about you and your son. Hope everything all works out for you.

Thank you very much. Folks here have been a great support for me. If you've read my posts you'll know I'm a bit out there. But harmless actually and sometimes I make people smile. And if I make someone smile then they're likely to make someone else smile. Beautiful things, the flutter of a butterfly's wings.

And if you have any questions at all someone here in Reoville has an answer! Lot's of helpful people here. I like this thread (Lounge Thread) because I can stray off the topic of Reos and most everybody accepts me for who I am. On any given day as I could be Fleet one day and Fleet the next and they're kind of different people :)

Edit: good choice of juice supplier as well. Clark is a hell of a guy, I really like him a lot. He is to juice what Rob is to mods. At least IMO.

Hey Val,

Can you give me some examples of alternative bands you like? Would you consider Sublime alternative? I'd like to put something up that you'd enjoy, and also something for Lady Kay.

Plus I love hearing new music. Alternative and Elvis are probably not well represented in my catalog and I do want everyone to have a chance, and good time, playing my game as long as they're interested:)

Hello all! Figured I'd say hi.

I Don't post much but I try and keep up.
I've had my Reo for little over a week and settling in nicely.
Think I've built more coils this week than I have in last 4 months! It's too easy not to mess with. Currently running .5 ohm on single coil made with 2 wires (not sure what that is called)

Fleet. Liking the song game cane see what you have up now since phone doesn't show signatures. But it's good to see others with as much musical diversity as myself.

You're welcome. I feel Lady Kay is much more befitting than oldbroad :) Let's get some dignity in there, you've earned it, I'm sure. And even if you didn't, I like it! Now of course that doesn't mean I'm not going to pick on ya :) Just a bit more respectfully.... Besides, let's see what happens when someone figures out the current song contest. As I said, I think it'll rub you the right way. But I could be wrong and offend you to no end. Time will tell. Someone will figure it out, I'm going to keep giving clues until they do. But all in good fun and even ladies, especially you, have a great sense of humor sometimes on the bawdy side.

I know as I grow older I'm much more apt to poke fun at myself. But that's because I'm ok with Me. Whoever Me happens to be that day :)

Currently the lyrics are "grandma, grandma..... use your left hand" Artist Michael Hurley. Album cover has a wolf, car and some naked ladies. Michael Hurley does his own album artwork so their hand drawn. The lyrics in the clue don't happen immediately so you have to listen for them. Those are the current clues. And the album artwork is shown on youtube so it should be easy to spot. No googling but the artist and song will be on youtube. Those are the current rules :)

Glad you're enjoying that Reo! You may want to consider the sub-ohm kit for it. I priced it such that even with buying that it was still a good deal less than buying new. I'd rather give stuff away but I needed the cash for legal expenses.

And yes, I have quite an eclectic taste in music. I reckon less than 10% of what I have ever made it to top 40, or even got played on a regular radio station. Where I used to live we had a community supported station with no ads and all kinds of music. But none of that was ever top 40 so I got a lot of good exposure to bands that were great but relatively unknown. Michael Hurley I started listening to in 1976 and he's still going strong. But he can be out there.

You have a good one, see if you can figure out the song :) Always good to talk to you!

Fleet i never heard of this one either LOL

Oh, I'm not surprised. It's rather obscure as a lot of my catalog is. But I've given enough clues so that if someone wants to find it, they can. If no one gets it today then tomorrow I'll give the name of the album. Eventually someone, probably Torey :) will figure it out. As mentioned in an earlier post a song he does called "Tia Marie" is a nice tune and will give you an idea of what Michael Hurley's style is. And since I've adjusted the rules so that the artist, and the song, has to be on you tube all it requires is someone to listen till they find the right one.

That plus the album cover art description should make possible for anyone with the time and desire to solve it. The next one I'll put up will be less obscure but I consider this to be a chance for people to hear music they would never otherwise hear. And some folks just won't give up til they get it. In the end, the song will be known. If it goes for three days, maybe 4, I'll just say what it is and move on to the next one.

I don't want people to get frustrated as this is supposed to be fun and I'll keep adding clues as needed. In fact, in my next post I think I'll give the title of the album but folks will need to listen to it to find the right song.

It's fun for me too as it give me a chance to listen to stuff I haven't heard in a while. I've got over 10,000 songs in my catalog so there's a lot of ground to cover :)

On another note (no pun intended) even though I didn't get any sleep last night I won't be napping today. So that might jump start a normal schedule for me again. I sure hope so. And the new meds are already having a positive effect, which is rare to happen so soon. But I'll take anything positive I can get.

Wow, I'm getting close to a 1,000 posts. I've never posted this much on any forum I've been a member of. And 90% of those, at least, are in this thread. The lounge just feels like home, and hope, to me. And I've met so many wonderful people here.

And another really cool thing: Even though my stress levels are through the roof, I've no desire for a stinky. That's progress, for me, in a big way. It used to be I had a cig going before my feet hit the floor in the morning. Now, I don't even have my first vape until the coffee's made. I'm up at least a half hour before I hit that firing pin. Were I to decide to give up vaping I think it would be easy compared to quitting smoking. I don't have any short term intentions of giving it up though. I love it too much. My Reo is my buddy.

More good news is that since I stocked up on some juice about a month and a half ago I've not spent one cent on vaping at all this month. I've passed my break even point even though I bought everything under the sun when I started. Until I found the Reo. Now it's just money in the bank and that's a good feeling! :)

I got that far Fleet! Listening to the album now just haven't gotten to the right one Yet!

I expect you'll announce the title of the song any minute now!

Edit: if/when you find it can you post a link to the song, please? I'd put it in the music thread but as I've said, some may find it a bit too far out there. People here know that and can choose to listen or not.

Thanks. I'm considered a bit out there myself sometimes. I prefer "out there" people.

I feel very comfortable with Clark and fam. They've been really great and accepting. And Rob was just so easy to work with, especially with me with all of my stupid questions. He really helped me out with my pretty "blem". I see no reason to look elsewhere. All of the flavor of dripping without all of the fuss. I'm in.

My big chuckle right now is being a woman of a certain age walking into vape shops looking for help or a coil or just along with a friend sometime you get ignored or placated at best. How do I counter this? Pull out Ms REO. You ought to see it, it's HILARIOUS. Every patron in the shop wants to see it, owners want to build a coil for it, etc. etc. Opens some doors and starts conversations and I'm much less likely to be dismissed out of hand or have someone try to sell me something I don't want or need. So double bonus.

You've got something that is a vaper's dream come true! I'm not surprised at all that your "credibility rating" is high :)

And if you like "out there", you are in the right place indeed. A motley crew if ever I've seen one. Arrrrr, mateys, we be sailing on the high seas looking for plunder and buxom wenches ta drive away the cold. Smooth sailing says I. When I was a wee sprig I was given two legs just so I'd have a spare. Would ne'er do well to have only a peg leg without the spare. Bring on the grog, mateys, I spy a port that is begging to be rid of it's booty!
