Good evening, everyone! You guys are still basking in the after sale glow. Today we went out to the property to receive some heavy equipment and also receive a 1949 Willies pick up that my FIL bought a few days ago. Weather was good for a bit, but it started snowing again (we're getting another storm like we had last weekend) so we came home.

Nice!

<~~~ I got her little sibling in an 18490! Funny, but I noticed your 119 says poly finish and my 82 says natural oil. Now that I'm looking, 82 could be too shiny for oil. That will bum me out. I chose mods based on finish.

Karen will prolly chip in later with more knowledge, but...

i currently have about 10 or so woods. bout half are poly, the rest natural. to me they are all just freakin beautiful. i didn't even think of finish on sale night, so i have no clue what the finish will be. never even thought of that.

if you don't like your finish, i suspect the trade thread will be jumping soon

Good Morning REOVille. Dennis might be in the afterglow, but Papaw is settling in with "How the heck did I spend THAT much ?!? And, just like Dennis, I didn't think to check on which mod had what finish (didn't know how to check that actually) so more learning on it's way. But they are just so beautiful, and the excitement of my first Sale Night got the best of me. Maybe I'll remember what self-control is next time around (probably not).
Enjoy your Sunday, and Have a Safe and Blessed Day :)

REOville is not place for self control .... You will spend the next ten years thinking thank goodness I snagged all those when i could :)

I only went for 1 this time around which brings my 18650 woodvil total up to 4 .... each from different sales.

Hello Underdawg. Got more than I wanted !
Someone tell me if I'm doing this wrong; usually just rinse my RM2's in hot water. Thinking for a good spring cleaning I'm letting them soak in 91% Iso for about 10 minutes before boiling in water for maybe 10 more minutes ? That won't hurt anything, will it ?

Hahaha, can't stop with just one! It needs the company that the metal REOs can't provide!!

You should be good to go by soaking the RM2s in 91%. It may be redundant but it shouldn't hurt. I wouldn't put the o ring in the 91 (that's if your planning on it), after time it may dry it out.

Good Morning Reo-shire. That was my first Reo sale and was quite the emotional roller coaster. Things don't normally affect me like that but these DANG Reo's!! I may have to change my nick to Percival, seeing as how I got my beloved 5 Curly Oak! Hope everyone is having a relaxing Sunday. :)

Good morning everyone! Hope everyone is doing well! I'm still basking in the glow of the Woodvil sale excitement and I can't wait now for the mechanical woods, and looking forward to Rob's initial post that he's starting, and all the fun of tracking the progress up to the sale.

I wonder how many he plans for that one?

I've already warned my boss that I want to take a 1/2 day PTO this coming week (timed for the delivery of my new beloved woods). Told him Wed or later (have to check that tracking). In the meantime, I do have two peach signature confirmed slips that I can go ahead and fill out to put in the mailbox, just in case!

Good morning, REOvil!

Welcome to the Lounge and REOvil, StillMaticc!

Shorts and air conditioner yesterday and this morning...heaters, long johns and wrapping up the peach trees by tonight. (woke up to 72 degrees, but it's getting down to 18 by late tonight) I'm glad my Pop's lifetime lesson of not planting the garden until Easter has stuck with me.
