You are correct sir. And the READYxWICK is more expensive.. but SO worth it! It's like the Mazerati of wicks!

Does anyone else get a funny taste when you use a new piece of ReadyXWick?
I haven't..all I taste is the flavor of my juice. Maybe someone else will pop in with an explanation for you.

With a new build I get a slight hint of something different for about 30 minutes if I do not dry burn for a few minutes initially. I am not sure if it the wick or the coil. I just re-wicked all mine that were a month old not because they needed it but because I wanted to try a different coil.
So, you dry burn even before the first use?
Good Evening Reonauts!
Darrell, the Mowhawk on the side...what I picture in my mind is to funny for words.
TylerD Welcome to Reoville!!
Nope...won't do it...the electrical tape is staying on the "eye" of my computer! I am proud of you OldBroad, I might get a camera for my desk computer, but the tape stays on the laptop!!
Laurin, that mayo looks great, the salad even better.
If anyone is interested I have 23.5" of the 3mm ReadyXwick, I like the 2mm, the 3mm is just sitting here, I'd be happy to divide it up between 2 or three people. Free for the asking, send me a PM.

What I've been doing is after I build a new coil with ready-wick I drip some juice and saturate the wick and then fire it a few times. I do this 2 or three times. Then I put the cap and drip tip on and it's pretty much ready to go. If I remember correctly I believe I read this tip on the ready-wick site. This made a big difference for me when installing a new wick.
Since I've got my coils where I wanted them I haven't built any new coils for a couple of weeks. I just dry burn when they're dirty and they're good to go again. For me between cotton, silica, and ready-wick, ready-wick was the only one that didn't give me any kind of taste to my wick/coils. I don't think I'll be able to use anything else.
Thanks. That sounds exactly like what I've been doing, but I get a "strange" taste that lasts for maybe an hour or so. There's no problem on the second and subsequent tanks. Only the first time with a new piece.
Ok there was just a 6.7 earth quake less than 190 miles from here and we didn't feel a thing but many farther away did. Is that a good thing ? Am I on a good piece of dirt here ??![]()
Stay safe, thats odd you did not feel it. Must be the porcupine dust![]()
Seems like some areas felt it good others didn't. Over on the mainland seems high rises shook good but not the low buildings. It could be the land here too. I'd imagine it depends on what's under you as to how much you feel it.
dang Darrel. you don't get enuf snow, or quakes or hockey scores. could be a good piece of dirt you live on -- your call![]()
