So the other day I told Gatlin the sand/dirt would make his bare feet tough. Today his crack was full of sand he says "Dirt tough" I guess he figures the sand will make his cornhole tough lol.

I have bbq drumsticks in the slow cooker...and I made plenty. Stop over
Gosh that does sound tempting......
HRH is making some concoction with chicken drumsticks for herself and i made the mistake of asking her what exactly it was.
"you put the chicken on a foil lined tray in the oven and bake it for 350f for 20 mins, Make the glaze from pineapple juice, pineapple chunks, bacon and brown sugar and give it another 30 mins."
Naturally after i went to all the trouble to type that - she just sent me the recipe.

Well then,,,I guess i'll just run my mouth to entertain myself....
I had a supremely awesome day..two of my GD's came over, one with her fiancee and the other with a good friend that i took an immediate shine to the first time I met her. We had pizza n pop , played board games, harrassed the male..THAT was fun..talked dirty to embarrass him....he'll be back, he loved it.....
My GD's friend smokes and she saw my Reo last week and wanted to try it, said she bought a couple of those kiosk disposables which are crap, so kept smoking but wants to quit.She, of course, was amazed by the Reo. Long story short, I ordered her an Ego kit Fri., today I showed her the different flavors i have, dripped some of them in different atties on my Reo to try.
Then I took her to my pc ,went to a website and showed her the kit I got her. She was blown away by my "generosity".
In the meantime I was bitc..err..complaining about my pc and she told me that her father repairs them!So sometime this week she's gonna come get it to take to him. He's also very inexpensive compared to most pc repair people..and she's a good friend of my GD so I'm not concerned about getting ripped off. Hey...as long as I've lived i've learned to be cautious
So she's a happy camper cuz she can get off the cigs this Wed. and I'm a happy camper cuz I'll have a pc that friggin' works and a person close by in case I need him again...which I'm sure I will

Well my day just turned to crap.
Good news: the backyard is done (except the stuff we can do like weeding the beds and planting flowers...).
Bad News: it was over 100 degrees today. Tomorrow isn't going to be much cooler. The AC stopped working and it's over 80 at almost 10 pm. Our low isn't going to be low enough to cool anything, and the chances of us getting it fixed on a Monday are pretty slim. I am anticipating a trip to the condo while DH is at work if it gets too bad, but the stairs are gonna be a bad thing for me right now.
and with that, here is the backyard with all the grass in and one of the circuits of sprinklers working

Happy Monday Reoville and Scott. Walked a mile nonstop with the cane this morning. Not one soul out at 6AM other than the birds. Gentle rain now falling. Something has attacked the garden and taken down 16 pepper plants and the basil too. Pepper plants are gone.
Miss USA last night. I flashed it on the TV and thought for a moment I was Don Draper from Mad Men. Big time warp. I think they must transmit that through a worm hole in space. I too want world peace. I think watching that contest on a HDTV isn't proper. It should really be viewed on a Zenith with a big wooden cabinet and rabbit ears. That makes more sense to me.

I haven't watched a Miss USA in years...I think the last time I did it was on a Zenith. My Nanny was really into the pageants, all her grand kids (4 girls and 1 boy) would hang around the house all day playing dress up and Papaw would make huge bowls of popcorn and the best chocolate milkshakes before the show started.
I always thought they had the biggest most beautiful house in the whole world, and was amazed when I went to visit the old neighborhood as an adult. The cars were as big as the houses...it was the people inside that made them so Grand.
