I spent 8 years living in Florida! It was all I could take! With those high temps the 98 % humidity is a killer!
One year down there I lived with no air condition. Pure hell!
I did my time in Florida, too. Lived in Ocala for 13 years and couldn't stand that awful humidity. So where did I end up? South-central hot and humid Texas![emoji91]Jealous! Ha ha, I'm here in Southwest Florida, so it's this right now.....

had to can 2 pepper mills that were cheapos they kept jamming so i ordered some others that were a bit more expensive and they work great hu you get what you pay for LOL the cheapos were non branded just generic and the new ones are called Itouch

I've missed you, you little hunk of burning love. Get out of those bubbles and tell us how you like your new place. I've been so busy painting that boys house that I hardly notice if I'm coming or going. Pretty sure I'm going.
I liked Las Vegas better than here! Yes, it's hot but, the humidity is so low you don't even notice it most days. There were only a few days in the 7 years I spent there that the humidity was bad.
One day I might end up in Arizona. At least that is what I want!
Ha ha, I was born and raised in Florida, so I've been here for 28+ years; and up until about a month ago I was driving a car without AC with hair past my shoulders, so yeah, definite suffering, lmao!
I like Las Vegas a lot and have been to Arizona a few times. I truly love Arizona. You're right, the heat is different without all the humidity. I've been out and about in 110 degree weather there. Sure it's hot, in fact, so hot there isn't any sweat on your clothes. It evaporates immediately. Definitely not like here. I get out of the shower and dry off and can't get dry!

Hawaii - well, just cuz
Monterey/Pacific Grove, CA- views to die for, for someone not a stranger to oceans
San Diego, CA- warmer oceans
Lexington, KY- i once got comped to see the Kentucky Derby. Fell in love with the green surrounded by the white (or black) horse fences. stunning...
Just south of Flagstaff, AZ- aspen forest in autumn. still brings tears to my eye thinking about how beautiful it was. more tears kicking myself for not buying that plot of land

Kay you shoulda been here a few years ago you'd go for a 12 minute shower and come back to be 8-12 pages behind go away for a day and it ould be 30-50 pages

Just got back from my Drs appt. Saw the new doctor for the first time. i'm in love. not only did she say my diabetes was in excellent control, but she tripled my pain meds.
Kay- if you see this, i'm now up to 2,700 mg of gabapentin per day.

SCOTT, funny thing that you just got new bedding. I just redid our bed also with 1500 cotton sheets, and a new comforter set with all the shams and decorative pillows. I didn't tell DH in case he wouldn't like it. I stalked him as he went into the bedroom and he did a double take, saying "What's this?!" He likes it though so he got lucky because tough cookies if he didn't. Glad to hear Arwin likes the new set up too.
I didn't see anything from Lisa, Karen or Kay? I hope you ladies are all doing well
JEN, I am so glad mom got fixed up. I just knew they would sort it out for you. Good thing too, that was a heart attack waiting to happen and now you won't have to worry. Did they fix the original problem also while she was there?
I have been walking so much better, and in much less pain, so I have been enjoying driving and going places so haven't been tied to the house so much. Freedom to roam is such a nice thing! The downside is I don't have as much time to spend with you all, so sorry if I am absent so much, but being able to live life is a wonderful thing.

I'm originally from California and miss the ocean! I did my basic training at Ft. Ord in Monterrey, loved it there (not the basic training part), been through Lexington and it's absolutely stunning also, but that drive from Flagstaff down through the aspens and slide rock is like heaven on earth. I could see myself living there without blinking!
