When I lived just north of Seattle in a convergence zone, we'd have sunshine one minute, snow the next, sleet mixed with snow the next, rain, and then back to sun. All in a matter of an hour. I loved it!

That's where I grew up....it was great! I love our weather here.

The fried apple flavor tastes more like an apple dumpling to me than fried apples. Lemme know how you like the banana bread. I like banana bread a *lot* My grandmother made banana bread to die for. Unfortunately, she didn't leave a single recipe behind. Not that I ever saw her use a recipe. She was a fabulous cook, but measured by a handful of this, a pinch of that, a dollop of the other. Come to think of it, the older I get, the more I cook like that

Hee hee! I have a good banana bread recipe around, I could send it to you. =) I use recipes mostly for baking but I'm pretty casual with other food... I just get depressed when my cakes fall. ;)

Sorta like Calgary, but a lot warmer. My grandparents lived in Calgary and I spent a lot of time there. It's right by the rockies, smack against the foothills leading up to Banff. The city itself is in a sort of deep spot, and it's pretty high altitude but obviously not as high as the foothills & mountains. Morning: sunny! Lunchtime: golf ball hail! afternoon: blizzard! evening: chinook! Totally unpredictable but it always smelled really good with the mountain air sweeping through. =)

I lived practically on the King County/Snohomish County line. Within close spittin' distance to Edmonds. I loved taking the Edmonds/Kingson ferry on clear summer days when you could see Mt. Rainier in one direction and Mt. Baker in the other. I've lived in a number of places, but from a sheer beauty standpoint, you can't get much better than the PNW.

Calgary is one place that I've wanted to visit, but never made it there. But, heck - I'm not all that old. I may make it there some day :)

It's very nice - a very walk-bike friendly place, and has tons of parks, too. My favourite is going up to the icefields and skidding around for a couple hours. =)

Which Archie McPhee did you go to? I used to live just a few blocks from their old store. They've moved to Ballard now.

Guess I'd better hit the haystack. I've got a busy day planned for tomorrow (washing windows inside and out). 'Course, that's subject to change if I find something more interesting to do

Nite all. Hugs all around!!
Night night, Patty! Sleep well! *hugs* =)

I shop online - I get crazy tchotchkes through the mail! Not recently, but one Christmas we bought a mystery box and man, it was fulllll of crazy stuff. =) Lincoln and Amish punching puppets! =)
