Hey Erik, I'm tired and relieved at the same time, thank you. Short story, my 2 1/2 year old grandaughter went in for a routine check up last week, they heard a heart murmer (sp?), did some tests and found that a blood vessel that goes to the heart that noramally closes up and seals itself up shortly after birth is still open and causing backflow and heart enlargement issues. They did a procedure today to seal thay vessel off, went up through a main artery in her leg. It was a successful operation, she is recovering, back to my original statement, I'm tired and relieved at the same time. Whew!

David such a scary time for family. Until recently I didn't understand just how hard it is when it involves a Grandchild. Worrying about the affect on them and your own grown up child at the same is tough. I'm glad she's ok and she's so young that she probably won't remember anything except that they gave her jelly and ice-cream

Yes, you desribed that perfectly, the worry about my grandchild and my daughter, she is a single parent and they lived with me for Addisyn's (sounds a little like your name!) first 1 1/2 of life, we keep her all the time too, that part about comming out of anesthesia (sp) is rough for a small child. And yes, it's jello
