I love my Pila. Do you have any problems changing out the spacers? I know you can get those plastic slip over ones, but I have not done that yet.

I have a nickel mini, David. It is beautiful. I did not polish it. I did buy a red door this week to swap out from time to time like jewelry. It looks awesome with a red door and a red Ming tip.

They don't give me a problem, just can be a hassle when I have to remove them. I usually put my 14500's in a Trustfire charger and use the Pila for the 18650.

I have to admit, I did the same thing, I looked everywhere for my pila spacers just to find them...in my charger
I had put them back in the charger, but hey, the charger is black, the spacers are black, it was night time (dark), I was on a Grand 30ml nic buzz and... and... it was a full moon, yeah, it was a full moon too

I got the Pila, but its just me here so I leave one spacer in and one out. Although with the mini at robs they are both out at the moment.

What about the inside? It looks pretty dry in there but now that the smell & taste of what I guess is the tung oil is nearly gone, I'd really rather not use that in there.
And I can't remember what the catch cup is made of, will it need attention?
The plan is to hit Home Depot on Tues (it's closer to work than home) to hunt some Howard's and anything else you folks recommend.

We don't mind the little spacers. Once I made a dedicated charging station box...not so easy to loose. It all stays in the box.

I put the Howard's wax on the inside also. It soaks it right up. I use a q-tip to reach around the tight areas. Just wipe off any excess. Remember the Howard's has a SunWax too. It might not be available in some stores. The UV protection is good for woods that can or will change colors over time. I just use that on all of mine.
You are correct, that is not polished. And if you don't like finger prints, be glad of it!
