Well you were nice to me on every question, but I felt like I was pestering you, I remeber asking if you could make a special order nickel for me, lol, at the time I didn't understand the anodizing process, you can't make a special order one off anodized color like you can with wood, it would cost a fortune.

Checkling in. I've been down with cold/flu virus that has hit me pretty hard despite the antivirals I'm taking. Woke up to see DH off, for day, and then went semi-comatose for the rest of day until right before he got home at around 2000. So glad we didn't have local fires as I don't know if "Bubs" will alert me to change in air quality.

It's dire out here. DFW metroplex broke all time record of # of days over 100. We were the highest temp, for several counties, at official 107. Most of the "all time" records have been broken.

We were officially 108, out here in the woods.

Humidity is record lows for months, some <15%.

Scary and I'm still preparing for the potential inevitable.

Like I said, we are lucky so far.
Accepting all prayers, beams, and positive thoughts. Candle lighting very acceptable, and welcome, with positive thoughts expressed.



I've been reading on Android phone, to keep up, but have not been able to do "likes" as Tapatalk doesn't do it. Otherwise love Tapatalk.

Rob, is it possible to put a mirror finish on nickel (or any other color) if the aluminum is not polished before anodizing, in other words, can you polish it after anodizing, to a mirroe fininsh, or would the imperfections (high spots) in the aluminum start bleeding through before you removed enough coating to get to a high gloss... if that makes sense.

Well you couldn't have bothered me to much I would remember it .I can make one nickel/nickel mod for someone but the cost would be to much you have to do a load of them to make it feasible

Rob I know you don't like stacking batteries, but some do it anyway in the Grand and Mini metals, speaking of the "18490" metal you will be building, what other battery combinations/voltages do you think people will, or phisically can throuw in there? Just wondering if you have thought about that in your design of the metal 18490.

You can polish a nickel mod after but it can be hit and miss for the most part if its in good shape good enough to let go its good enough to polish.If you want your mod polished I will do it

David, Lisa has a polished nickel/nickel. The main problem with the high polished reos is they are finger print magnets! Thats the main reason I haven't polished mine. I'd be carrying around a polishing cloth constantly buffing finger prints off... I had considered doing it to my nickel/nickel and putting it in a small plexiglass display case though!


ALICE I hope you feel better SOON! You and all the folks still in harms way from mother nature are in my and my church's prayers! (Yep, yall are on the prayer list at my church! As was Ben. I like to believe thats why he had a home to come back to. )
