Good morning Seamus! You do remember my name is Karen right? LOL ECF lets you use tinypics to upload photos. You do not have to have a account. You just upload your photos and can then post on here. Of course they do not stay on the site, but it is good for those who do not want an account. If you decide to open an account, you will be sent to Photobucket. So guess they are linked?

Good morning Sterno and Nerak!!!!! And everyone else who is about to read through my 3a.m. I don't wanna join Flickr or Photobucket melt down.

Oh Jodi, how convenient...I make jewelry! Do you have any glass/lampwork focal beads you made anywhere online for viewing? Send me a PM.

Ooooh Christina, me too! You ought to see the focal beads that I picked up at the ISGB annual meeting last month. I'm working on a kumihimo beaded rope for a special bead right now.

Checkling in. I've been down with cold/flu virus that has hit me pretty hard despite the antivirals I'm taking. Woke up to see DH off, for day, and then went semi-comatose for the rest of day until right before he got home at around 2000. So glad we didn't have local fires as I don't know if "Bubs" will alert me to change in air quality.

It's dire out here. DFW metroplex broke all time record of # of days over 100. We were the highest temp, for several counties, at official 107. Most of the "all time" records have been broken.

We were officially 108, out here in the woods.

Humidity is record lows for months, some <15%.

Scary and I'm still preparing for the potential inevitable.

Like I said, we are lucky so far.
Accepting all prayers, beams, and positive thoughts. Candle lighting very acceptable, and welcome, with positive thoughts expressed.

I've been reading on Android phone, to keep up, but have not been able to do "likes" as Tapatalk doesn't do it. Otherwise love Tapatalk.

Much love and appreciation to all Reonault friends; I can't imagine being without you, Alice

Alice {{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}} please take care of yourself.

Too much to remember. A friend talked me into joining Facebook last year and now I've got a bunch of people who like seeing snaps of my backyard and posting hundreds of photos most every day, until I joined the ECF, on more than one site is just way to much for me to keep straight. Do you think I could load photos from Facebook albums? I'm more about print, you know physical evidence that you can hold in your hand. It wasn't until I joined the ECF that I finally checked out YouTube.

Me too. I did photography for many years. Still miss those hours I spent in the darkroom and still love my old Nikon F2.

Mlinky, I love my Nikons! But I did make the switch as I always hated the darkroom and now I couldn't be any happier with Photography, except for if somebody maybe gave me a Hassleblad with a 30MB digital back.

Oh well guess facebook won't let me trick them into letting me use my photos to post here on the ECF. There's got to be a way to find those image codes for facey's book. If I could do that I'd be sooooo happy.

Oops, gotta go out for dinner, I mean breakfast.

I have a few more REO shots to post as the day goes by. I hope you guys don't mind that I'll be doing sort of an opposite of what you guys do, hundreds of snaps of my one little REO as it travels around the backyard with me instead of hundreds of shots of the hundreds of REOs you guys post.

The time in the darkroom was relaxing and meditative for me. I always wanted a Hasselblad, but couldn't afford it. I still miss my old Mamiya C220, which I sold.

my first camera was an F2. I bought it used in 1980 for $500. It had a photomic head. The lenses were a 24 2.8, 50 1.8 and a 105 2.5. I used that camera for years then traded it in for a Canon T90 which I also loved. I sold my Canon T90 on Ebay with a ton of lenses for $1000. If I had sold it a year earlier I would have doubled my price. Digital was taking over and the price of film cameras in general were dropping fast.

I do not miss the darkroom at all. I spent a year working full time in a custom b&w lab and had a darkroom in my basement so many hours were spent with the red light on. I did b&w there and color using Ilfochrome (Cibachrome) making 16x20s from 4x5 Velvia Chromes from my 4x5 field camera. I used the field camera with Velvia for about 3 years for my personal work. Now I am exclusively digital but I still have my wood field camera. I won't ever get rid of that. It was hand built and its walnut..a Zone 6 model. My daughter can put it on the mantle when I am long gone and tell my grandkids or great grandkids that that was grandpa's camera.

Me too. I did photography for many years. Still miss those hours I spent in the darkroom and still love my old Nikon F2.
