Hello Bill! No I have never tried it. I have spent a lot of time and effort to get the right attys. I ordered from almost every place I found them to see if there were differences in vapor or longevity. Then after buying a few more Reo's keeping up with batteries, attys and drip tips became it's own challenge! Now I have two 801 Wood REO's that needed their own attys.
So, I have not ventured into a world of more batteries and yet more attys to get to the 6V.
I will get there no doubt, when the VV REO is here. Maybe before if I want a new challenge!

Yes I know exactly what you are talking about. I have a SB and it takes the same battery as my Grand. So when I got my mini a new stock of batteries. As far as attys go, I have tried alot of different ones and still like the 510 the best. I do have a few 306s and 801s LRS but dont use them.
