The only protected I'd ever try in a GRAND is the AW 2200MAH. In the woodvils, I'd only go with the IMR. The AW 2200MAH has the button top unlike the 2600s and 3100s. It is a little longer but there is just enough space in the coil to still drop down. Big Hitter and I have both used it as well as a few others. You can get them at lighthound.com for a good price. I get 12 good hours out of an AW IMR 1600MAH but I can go almost 18 with the AW 2200MAH on a 2.0 Ohm atty. With a 2.2 Ohm Joye 510 I used to go for 2 full days without a change. I believe the IMRs weren't available when I got started so we all used something larger. The IMR 2000MAH maybe my next alternative but intial testing didn't cause the forum to make a switch. Brew
Brand new Grands should be available within the next week or two. The AW IMR 18650 (1600 mAh) is the recommended battery for the Grand, especially if you're into low resistance attys and/or cartos. Be wary of the longish protected 18650's. They fully compress the spring and don't allow it to collapse and break the circuit in the event of a short.

I used to collect but 9mm was more my thing. 127gr Rangers out of a 3.5" - 4" barrel produced more than enough documented results to make me feel safe.
