And it's here.... Reo Maple with Purple Heart Door.

Ordering would have been easier if it was plain that you had to order special batteries and the charger from a different site and the Reo does not come with these items.

This is my first mod, maybe it's just understood that the purchaser should know that mods don't come with batteries and that you are going to have to track down the right kind and a charger that works with them.

Fortunately, the modification artist responsible for the Reo responded to my questions within a few hours of me thinking to ask them and patiently explained to my noobness what I needed to get in order to be ready for my Reo to arrive.

I found the Reo is brilliant in its simplicity and very easy to put together. After the battery was charged, I had it loaded with juice and was vaping in about a minute.

The Reo seems idiot-proof to prepare and use if you watch the little tutorial beforehand. (The guy on it is kinda cute, too ;))

I'm in love with this mod. My first concern was that it would be too big or awkward for my smallish hands but it's very comfortable to use.

I tried it with 510, 510 lr, the 901 and the ...8xx I don't remember that atty number. The LR made the vapor a bit too hot with too much TH for my taste. The 8xx whatever seemed hard to suck on. The regular 510 was awesome and the 901 was my vape sweet spot.

I love how it can use any atty and how easy it is to compare the vapor from the different attys.

I feel so free not having to constantly fiddle with carts and attys and I can just sit back and vape. I'm a hospice nurse and I spend hours on the road every day. My friends and family have seen me drip and drive and try to fill/change carts while driving and they all plan to write thank you cards to Reo.

The downside is that I'm going to have to cut my juice tonight. 36mg is way too much for me on this mod. This is strange, because the same juice it isn't too strong for me with my eGo. I think the Reo makes more use of the juice. I'm drawing less often because I'm getting such magnificent drags off the Reo. So my juice is probably going last a lot longer. That's not really a downside once I think about it.

As I sat here writing this, I cut my 36mg down to 24mg and it's still too strong. Not sure what's happening here but it looks like I'm going to have to cut it again. I swear I'm not chain vaping..LOL.

Pardon my rambling review, I'm a bit buzzed right now :) No Reo for me for the next hour while I cut this juice down to 18. LOL!

Ty for the great mod.

Welcome to the REO club!

I was a 510/Ego user before I got my REO and IMO, the reason why your juice seems to have that extra kick with the REO is probably because you're using a true 3.7V device now.

Depending on where your Ego kit is from, the actual voltage (I'm not too good with the technical terms!) might not actually be 3.7V. From what I've read on other threads, its probably anywhere between 3.2 - 3.4V and that small difference can have a significant effect :)

Enjoy the REO....I haven't put mine down in awhile....my wife often mentions that it's like an extension of my hand

The Reo's are nice but to me these look so much nicer and work every bit as good if not better;

What are these? Who sells them?

Those would be the new Ali'i from the manufacturer of the Kaji (Journeyman) bottom feeding mod. Not to take away from this thread but you can find more information here:

Good review. The REO is certainly a piece of art and very well reviewed. :2c:

I believe the 8xx he is referring to is the dse version of the rn4072 I use (801) which have a pretty hard draw, closer to that of an analog. These are great starters for fresh converts, but it leaves the user looking for either an all PG juice or eventually switching to a 510 or 901 atty (or their Ruyan twins).

It's too bad the 801's don't run hotter, because I find their stiff draw to be quite satisfying. Maybe someone makes LR versions of them, which would be worth trying.

After purchasing each of my other mods, an SP2 & a MKII, I almost immediately began looking for something that would free me up from filling carts & carrying bottles of juice around with me. The REO has solved all of my problems, and, thankfully, the search for the nearly perfect mod has ended. The only mod I'll buy again, will be another REO to have as a backup......

During my first week as a Reo owner.

I haven't misplaced it yet.

I haven't broken it yet.

It works just the same as the first day I got it.

I lost my 510's and eGos repeatedly throughout the day. A black mini ecig in a tote bag full of pens, eyeliners, penlights and other similarly shaped and colored objects made it hard to identify my ecig and I was searching for it constantly.

It's hard to lose a block of wood the size of a pack of cigarettes lol. I can tell it is in my cargo scrub pant pocket because of the weight. I can pick up my bag and know that it is there. It is unharmed and easy to locate when I slam on the brakes when someone cuts me off in traffic and it goes flying across the car.

My elderly patients think it is a wooden two way radio or wooden cell phone. I don't vape around them, but I have asked a few of them what they think it is. Most of them say "Oh what beautiful work, where can I get a phone like that?"

If the artist wanted to get into a sideline of wooden cell phone mods, I think I have a market for them, LOL.

Follow up to my last post. I've been using the REO for over 3 1/2 days now, and it is, by far, the best vaping device I've used. I'm using a 510 atty on mine, and have put a little over 18ml of liquid through it. In that time I have changed the batteries twice, and cleaned the atty once. That is all. Not cart filling, no carrying juice bottles around, and no juice messes to clean up. I can't imagine going back to my other hardware, and will be buying another for a backup. I just wish that I had purchased the REO before I bought my other mods - it would have saved me a lot of money and aggravation......
