I ordered a Chalice III from MOV when they had them for $29. Then we left on a 3 week business trip, the day it was DELIVERED!!!! Hubby didn't stop the mail til the next day!! OMG, will it be there when I get home? We stop the mail when we leave so it is held at the local PO until we return.

Got home yesterday, nothing in the mailbox. Ah, :censored:. The mail man (not our usual one) delivered a box of mail. I had a bunch of vape mail, including the REO LP Grand silver vein door I bought on the classies (I have one REO wonderfully PIFed to me by a wonderful person which got me hooked) and, YES!!!, my Chalice!!!! Guess our regular mail man figured it out and took it back to the PO. He is a good man!!! Have not had a chance to work with either yet, but OH JOY!!!!! :rickroll::rickroll::rickroll:

Ordered a velocity and a derringer from FT during their Memorial Day sale. Gotta get some bottom feed pins (probably not the right term) for them. I know I can get them from Fat Daddy's. When I can, I am going to watch a few videos on how to convert an rda to a bottom feeder, since I have a stumpy and a low pro already which I am not using. Hum, may need another REO or two....

I have a bunch of regulated mods and tanks to use, but I can see the REOs getting me through anything!

So I bought a Chalice III out of the classies today. Looks like I may need another REO for it to sit on....

Why no Mike we never warned you about saw that coming. :D

Whaddya think about squonking now that you have had that in play for a bit? You never asked a peep about squonking issues/problems so I figure you got that down real quick.

I'm loving it. There have been times of both under and over squonking. Luckily dry hits and floods have been minimal. I feel that I learned a lot both on YouTube and in the forum archives. I still haven't taken it on the road with me. Still don't have a good idea for how long a battery will last me. I seem to be pulling them a little early. I've been having fun with it and the vape has been great. Thank you.

Absolutely!!! This is why we're all nutz about em. Your mailman deserves cookies......what a great guy!!! I'm sure you don't have time to bake, but oreos work lol Just don't give him G and Ts cookies

Glad you're doing so great with it. If you don't have a way to meter your battery, you can get a 6.00 DMM from harbor freight.
I've heard a lot of folks say they got em free, but dunno how. Maybe that has passed, dunno

Harbor Freight practically runs a perpetual free coupon for those meters, along with other really low ball crap tools. It's a pretty easy search to find a current coupon somewhere on the webs you can print out. That, or get on their print mailing list. The coupon will show up in their print flyer - but you won't get it from their e-mail subscription.

Anyway...

Those HF meters are ok for battery voltage and checking continuity for a short. However they are grossly incorrect for checking resistance values.

I got several with free coupons - just because I could. Out of four of them two were flat out defective and had to be exchanged. (NB: Test them in the parking lot before you leave HF - save yourself the cost of gas if you have to exchange a defective one.) The most common defect that gets a lot of complaints is "meter bounce" - the self calibration will just not settle down. Using the lowest resistance scale just turn it on and cross the test leads. If the display won't zero out and keeps bouncing all over get back outta the car and exchange it. Believe me - they won't put up any argument.

Out of the four working ones all of them metered 10% 1.0 ohm resistors at least 4.5 ohms higher than it should. The worst measures 1.0 ohm as 7.8 ohm.

Ok for DC voltage. Ok for continuity checks. Get something else to accurately check coil resistance.

It's a free meter for a reason.

I mostly use mine for checkin the battery. But I got lucky I reckin, mine checks resistance well. I know there are much better ones, but that's good info thanks.

FDA stress gettin' to ya Ang?

My vape has been all over the map with all this dooming crap. Chain vape one day - drop the nic. Start the next day 12 mg ain't enough - back up to 16 or 18. Get the nic jitters - down to 6 mg. Loopy loopy loo.

Don't overthink the nic - that's not what does you in. And you had the monkey before you started vaping to begin with so.... Straight nicotine is a kinder, gentler monkey.

don't worry bout it darlin......like twisted said.......maybe do some of each. We all have those times. And if ya do need to totally go up, still not a problem. I'm still at 24 after 4 years. Tried to drop to 18 and wanted to kill someone after a few days.

I bought some 12mg Fusion (Halo unflavored) to add to my 6 mg and the bottle is nearly gone and I've only had it two weeks. So....looks like my next juice order will include some 12 mg. and yes @Rickajho, you are so right...work stress! Didn't even think about that but it is making me want to up the nic.

But I don't mind. Better than smoking for sure! Also, for those of you that love the Chalices (love mine too) you guys really need to try a Hellfire Viper V2. Still a nice small compact atty (14mm) but a slightly larger AFC. Really pops flavor and a bit more vapor.

I have had several and none of the free ones ever settled to a resistance, just flop around. I have tossed them all. At least they were free. What do you want for nothin'? A Rubber Biscuit?

I have an old Radio Shack DMM, which I only use for checking batteries. For coil building and resistance checking, I'm a big fan of either the Coilmaster 521 Tab, or the USA Ohm Meters Fire Meter. I have both. The Fire Meter is about 2x the price of the Tab 521, but is a little more solid. Either will do the job. Build the coil, fire it, adjust it, wick it, and then put the atty on the REO, ready to go.

I was going to go with the Tab 521 but wasn't sold on the reviews of it. Was going to buy the Fire Meter, but couldn't justify the price tag. Ended up buying the Geek Vape 521 Tab at just under $30 and for the life of me can't figure out how I went so long without one now. It is a little bit different to build on, but time will sort that out soon enough. Best thing is when you pull the atty off the meter and thread it on the Reo its good to go as Rule said...

I have the Fire Meter also. I chose the Fire Meter because I read some less than flattering reviews but I have no personal knowledge. I like the concept, flip a switch and fire the coil, flip it back and check the resistance. I recommend it.

I have both; but the 521 was a gift, which I received after I already had the Fire Meter. As I said earlier, the fire meter is more solid, with a 3D printed body, rather than the molded ABS body of the 521. The Fire Meter's 510 connector is better quality than the 521. One nice thing the 521 has that the FM doesn't, is that it comes with a pair of leads, which can be used for checking battery voltage. However, performance wise, it's a toss up between the two.

I thought those were for checking resistance on wire.
Will have to dig them out.
The CM has been working good for me, however the blue fire indicator has been flickering and not coming on , occasionally. I did pick up a Geekvape 510 tab for back up. (couldn't resist the $18 sale.)

The leads can be used for either. It depends on the position of the switch.
