Ditto, but I did move to the "dry" side of the state to get away from the drizzle, and slugs.
The seasons are a little more defined over here, and my old bones feel a lot better :p
Pretty mellow up here in our corner, compared to what's happening in the rest of the states.

Nobody WANTS to live in hot, humid places! My daughter hated the Texas heat so much that she moved to San Francisco to get away from it. Now she lives in Scotland. I think she's finally had about enough of the cold.

I can handle the heat a lot better than I can the cold. Cold makes every joint and bone I have hurt. Besides, we have 4 seasons here
1. Hot
2. Not so hot
3. Dayummm hot
4. Deer Season! :p

now she tells me. Where were you in the early 80's???? lol

My aunts the same way. Cold at 85 degrees. I am starting to understand the joint issue as I'm not getting any younger. Still, I think it's all about preparing for the conditions and finding a way to make the best of it. Luckily, there's lots of mountains around here, so hitting the slopes in the winter is my happy place. Driving in it can be a bit challenging especially when the icy streets turn into a sad, slow game of plinko as the cars slide down the hills bouncing off power poles and other cars. Makes ya start puffin the Reo a bit more!

lmao! I lived in Ohio during the blizzard of 78...... I know this game well.

I hate that game! I'd rather not drive thru high water than not drive on icy roads!

I remember that blizzard.

I remember the blizzard of '78 well. It hit Central NY hard, east of the Great Lakes.
It was nasty for sure. I was in HS. I know Dayton had about 50 people die. 25 ft snow drifts. Windchill temps were 60 below a few times, and once they reported 75 below zero. That's antarctic weather. They reported one woman had died cuz her house was totally buried. Phone lines down, she couldn't call out. Can't even imagine that.

i'm looking at a huge thunderstorm and skies as black as the ace of spades. As HRH says 'it will be fun'. It'll be nice to get some rain.

T
Hope it wasn't nasty. I love big thunderstorms til they turn dangerous, then not so much
