I live in Kentucky so i get the best of both worlds lol. I do like i would for my car and run more viscous 70/30 in the high 90s and low 100s we get in summer, then i run 50/50 in wintertime. It got down to -21 about 2 winters ago. I never use the little insert in the reo tube since i dont have probs w autosquonkin
That -21 was my fault. I travelled south for a bit and brought it with me.

Yeah the cold has somethin' to do with it, it's already in the 40s at night. It's also that I'm using the REO bottles right now but I'm used to the Italian bottles with 50/50. I cut all my Italian bottle tubes too short (for the CC) so I need to get some more tubing (and bottles) if I want to keep using those. But I prefer the REO bottles, less the harder squonk action, so it's a toss up...
Italian bottles?

Italian bottles?
THese - they aren't really 8.5 mls, but they ARE really soft and easy to squonk. I get a little "seep" at the threads - not a leak, but I have to wipe the threads when I refill. Still - I've switched to them on all my Reo's (they fit a Grand, and a P67) as I am now really used to the soft squonk!

Come further south next time!

The regular Reo bottles are fine - they are really durable but tough as old boots. i never run the bottle below about half empty because it's tough to squonk then. HRH has the fancy Italian bottles in her CC and they are fine if you have arthritis of are puny!
8.5 ml Bottle & Tube Kit

Since i typically only run mech bottom feeders, of all different kinds, i went the cheap way and just buy 50 of the 10 ml bottles at a time from say RTS Vapes.

They develop a split in them after a while but they are so cheap i don't care!

Lost my Origen drip tip today, went to a local vape shop and bought 2 new ones, but the taste was weird, let them sit in alcohol and later soapy water, the taste is better but still off, any ideas?
Have you tried soaking in vodka or pga?

There's no such thing here
do you sleep through winter??? lol You're further south than I am, but we sure have winter here! And sloth better keep his cold weather away from me! lol

When I was using Kay's p67 that week, it was sooooooo hard to squonk a fairly new regular bottle after using my easy squeezy ones. Couldn't get hers off to put mine on. Mind if I ask why you prefer the regular ones? I know you mentioned before that you liked being able to have caps on the old ones, to carry extra juice in yur pocket and just swap out the bottles, is that the only or main reason? Basically I'm asking if you're having any issues with the italian ones.

you buy 10ml bottles there that hold juice for the reo like the italian bottles? Or did I totally misunderstand something?

They are not as soft as the Italian ones, but they are thinner than regular Reo bottles (which means they don't last as long) but are marginally easier to squonk and so cheap as to be disposable.

Most of my gear will accept a 10ml bottle.

T
kewl. Do you have a link? all I found was the ones with the needle tips on them

After a life of working with my hands, in construction, I guess I have fairly strong hands. At any rate, I've never found the REO bottles particularly bothersome. I can squonk them to completely empty, with no problem. Plus, after several years of DIYing, and getting samples in 6ml bottles, I probably have over 100 of them around.

These are what i've been using.

10 ml LDPE Cylinder Bottle With Childproof Cap

When i was going through about 8ml of juice a day, these would last me a couple of months before they failed - typically they develop a crack in the side that gets squonked after prolonged use.
i should point out that i use a rather caustic juice that's high in cinnamon, so that likely doesn't help and it will melt tanks and o-rings, so doing the "bottle mod" is a good idea.

If you have no issues with your hands then the Reo ones are easily the most durable, but it's all matter of how much you vape and so on. i don't vape as much as i once used to, so i don't actually need the 10ml capacity anymore, but a year or 2 ago i could vape 15ml+ a day!

Sunbox is selling some seamless bottles made of silicone which are no doubt the softest things since babies backsides, but at about 18 Euro a pop, they are a bit too rich for my blood!

yeah I do have hand issues, so the regular bottle has always been a bit difficult for me to squonk. Now that I've used the italian ones, they're super difficult! I don't care so much about an extra 2ml, but definitely always want to have easy squeezies. I bought 5 of them, then a friend just sent me some she'd bought, cuz she didn't like them. So I'm good for now, but always on the lookout for a way to do something less expensively. Yeah I saw someone selling them about 28.00 for one......no way!!

The REO ones are easy for me. When I travel, I just fill a bunch of them up, and toss them in my travel bag.
Also, being the OCD guy that I am, I like to fill or replace the bottle and swap batteries at the same time. If I fill to about 5ml to 5 1/2ml, it works out about right. If I have to rewick, and dry burn or clean the coil, I do everything at the same time.

Incidentally, the point i am labouring to make is that there are soft(ish) cheap plastic bottles out there, rather than any specific argument for higher capacity ones.

Those just happen to be what i use, but i'm sure they are sold in smaller sizes too.

One thing: pay attention to the kind of plastic you are buying. i bought a load of similar sized bottles from Amazon without paying attention and they are rock hard and useless for squonking.

i prefer the italian ones overall. All i meant was i like that the original reo bottles never seep juice, and i can pull a Rule and fill a bunch, cap them and swap on the fly. Its especially handy when backpacking. But i am spoiled by the easy sqounk of the italian bottles.

Although my issue with squonking that i mentioned earlier was that i had forgotten to cut an inverted V, so my tube was suctioning to the bottle.

HRH agrees with you, although the only issues i ever had with the original Reo bottles was that the o-ring in the top would eventually disintegrate from my juice.

i carry a computer with me everywhere and always keep a 30ml bottle in that, in case of emergencies. When i was new at this vaping lark, i'd carry spare atties and wire and wick and even a cheap multimeter and i still have those in a drawer at work. Backups for backups was the mantra.

When someone gets a splinter in their fingers, i just happen to have a set of tweezers with a magnifying glass attached to them or a dental pick for field surgery that were originally meant for coil building.

Yeah haha. I still tend to carry wire, wick and some rebuilding supplies when I go on trips, but in over 2 years of vaping I have NEVER had even the smallest issue where I needed them. I don't carry anything for day trips anymore other than spare juice and batteries, but anything longer than a day, I still do.

Seems silly to me though but that's how I am. I remember backpacking for a week with all this rebuilding supplies and never even had to rewick.

I am one to believe, It is better to have and not need. Than to need and not have.

On Another note. Wife and I went to Six Flags over the weekend 1 Reo, 1 battery, And a little juice.
@Rayonati Sloth TRA rode 5 Roller Coasters.

Got to go check the Ribs.
