I didn't know he wasn't well. I don't think I've seen a post from Spydro since the REO forum closed down. Hope he's ok.

Very sorry to hear this Rob... I just checked out his profile day before yesterday to see if he had been logged on anytime in the near past and was surprised he was in the GP thread in October... I hope someone is able to get ahold of him. It would be nice if he posted here in this thread at some point.

I just watched a program on Netflix, called 'Requiem for the American Dream' by Norm Chomsky. I urge anyone to watch it, regardless of your political bent. If not Netflix, I'm sure it's available on YouTube. It's a little over an hour in length.
You may dismiss Chomsky as a Libearal lunatic, alarmist, socialogical genius, high brow intellectual, or whatever. But I challenge anyone to dispute his hypotheses. It's alarming.

An excellent doc. Check out Four Horsemen while you're at it - Chomsky plus a slew of others, similarly articulate.

I will check it out. I plan to watch a lot of Netflix and Amazon stuff, since I got a new Xbox One for Christmas. The documentary I mentioned caught my eye. I'm glad I watched it. It's an interesting eye opening history lesson.
Plus, so far, I suck at Madden football.

I studied linguistics as a minor during my undergrad and he's a demigod in that field in addition to his political punditry.

Like or dislike him, there are only a handful of people with that kind of gravitas alive today.

Agreed. I studied Anthro and he was a legend. To boot I tend to agree with him 99% of the time

He lives in eastern MA which I generally try to avoid at all costs, but he's worth the trip. Just gotta find time to go there.
