Finally had time to go through and clean and check everything out. Good news, I found the issue! There was a piece of wick stuck in the metal feed tube under the 510 connection. I use Ready X Wick and I'm not sure how a piece that large got loose. I'm guessing it was moving for a while which was causing intermittent problems until it finally got wedged in real tight.

Glad you got it worked out. That's usually the most likely cause; something restricting the feed tube or squonk hole in the atty.

Another day for Leroy Jethro Gibbs...
Great way to spend the day if yur not watchin football. Just watched my dolphins be stupid and get stomped. But hopefully the Texans will have a better shot at beating the Pats anyhow. :D

Hy yall,
This is my 1st time in the Reo lounge, but I have a problem. My feed stem on my beater Reo broke off. I need to know if I can get a replacement center pin for the 510 or if I can send it in to have the whole 510 connection replaced. I need contact info for Rob or any one that can help me fix my Reo. I've looked on Reomods.com but didn't find repair info so I'm kinda stuck between a rock and a hard place for fixing things. Help me out if you can. Thanks.
Sorry ya broke the center pin, but good to see ya darlin!! You can call Rob too.

When you originally set up your coil and snipped the ends of the wick there may have been a piece that fell into the atty you couldn't see under your wicking and that may have gotten sucked down in there. I've never heard of a piece of RxW getting sucked in there, but I have heard of cotton and or rayon and thats why I suggested you do that... Glad you got it fixed...

I step away from the web for 90 minutes to shoot a vid...I come back and REOville is chatting about pig orgasms and dolphins...

What about the chickens though? :?:

So glad that you figured out the problem and shared what it was. So many times I hear of a problem but don't here the solution. It helps others that may be having the same problem. Then again, there are so many folks on ECF that will go the extra mile and help however they can.
