Amazes me that there are P67's just waiting for a home. F5 war to get mine a while back.

I know, right? I already have a couple, but there they are... just sitting there.

Hmmm... maybe the switch and insert upgrades from the OG version would justify this.

Oh, bother

So tempting. But I don't even use all the REOs I have now. I have about 14 of them, with Grands and Woodvils. But I mainly use my two P67s.

Oh, I hear you, brother. I, too, definitely have more reos than I need, but here's a thing I've found...

I started choosing a reo to use/take to various events as I live my life - a special concert, a trip, etc. I used to be one of those people who acquired souvenirs of these events - totems or artifacts, if you will. Now, that same purpose is fulfilled by the reos. One hammertone grand is my camping buddy (and has numerous nicks and dents from various misadventures), an orange SL is my road trip through the desert mod, the white P67 has many stories from a trip to China to tell, and the red sparkle with the skull wrap has shared many a "what happens in vegas stays in vegas" moment. The list goes on... and on.

It's eccentric (okay, weird), I suppose, but I somehow feel it's better than collecting snow globes, t-shirts, monkey paws or shrunken heads (we travel to some odd places), and looking at each reo back home brings back memories just as effectively.

I have other mods (full disclosure), but only the reos rank up there with the '67 beetle I had as a young man for significance beyond function.

I must say I've only used the conical deck on the cyclone until now that I have the flat one modded by Tom. I like the flat better. It actually Squonks just like the conical and the lip holds the wick just where I want it. The only con I find is having to put the coil closer to the posts. But no issue for my tiny coils :thumb:
