I am fairly new to vaping as well and have been re-dripping juice into old Mistic carts and they are starting to taste funky so I am looking to put together something more user friendly...

dormouse - your siggy starts with '510 + Boge or 306 atty/drip', can I take that to mean a 510 battery fits a 306 atty? And if I want more juice for an 'on-the-go' situation ( like work), what do I add that will hold more juice w/o a spillage issue?

Also..does any 510 atty work with any 510 battery?

I appreciate any help and patience as I try to piece together a perfect fit for my vaping style..

Hi LadyCC,
Im not sure about the 306 atty fitting a 510 battery, only have had two kits so far 510 starter and Ego-T. But what i can tell you is if your going the 510 route, the Joye Ego uses a 510 atty, and the batteries last alot longer(worth the battery price).
I enjoyed my 510 kit, but the 180mah batteries dont last long. My Ego-T has 1000mah batteries which last me 2 days before charging, the 510 180mah batteries i was charging 3 to 4 times a day. Good luck to you!:vapor:

The LR stands for "low resistance". The atomiser burns hotter, giving more vapor, it will also use the battery charge faster.

LR indicates low resistance (hotter vape)

306 has the same connection as 510 so they will work on a 510 battery, but 306 is almost exclusively used for dripping.

A few boge 510 cartomizers will last an average vapor most of a day, a light to moderate vaper will get 3 or more hours out of a boge cartomizer before needing to top them off, but never go until there is a drastic change in flavor. As soon as you begin to notice a drop or change in flavor top off or change your carto to extend its life.

I would definitely upgrade to a better model. The eGo or Riva 510 are the obvious next step and are definitely better than your current set up. But a better option in the same size as the eGo is the E-Power. The batteries cost about $4 and can be recharged 2000 times instead of the eGo's 200 times.

e-Power

Additional note: the 510 is not the only atty/carto on the market. With the addition of a $3 adapter you can try different atty/cartos that you may actually like better, such as the 801 which has a large coil and holds much more liquid. Much nicer vape, IMO.

Hi -

Yes 510 and 306 threads are the same. As with 510 attys, a slim 510 can only use standard resistance. A 306 atty needs its own carts and its own drip and it does NOT hold as much juice - the atty is shorter and the carts are smaller with a small recessed juice cup. But many people with Ego or Riva 510 like to drip of 306 LR atomizers. A slim 510 cannot use LR (low resistance) without risking damage so I use standard resistance 306 atomizer from dripping and only manual batteries should use drip tips (especially with 306 which has a fairly large hole in its threaded end - I like it to drip because it is easy to blow out). 306 definitely does not hold more.

I rarely use atomizers. I use the atomizer to test juices and to drip a few juices that are thicker than I will put in cartomizers. 99% of the time I am using cartomizers and only thin juices I love get cartos. I use Boge standard resistance cartomizers on manual 510 and Vapor4Life WOW cartos on my KR808D-1. Cartomizers DO hold more liquid than a cart and need juice added less often (juice often enough to keep them damp - if you don't keep the whole carto damp you can singe it). If you have auto batteries though, be extremely careful with cartos - if they leak a bit they will do it right over the threaded end hole where and auto battery can be damaged.

Cartomizers have limited lives. They are hard to impossible to clean and dry and ever have work as well again. I don't bother. I put a juice I like in and keep topping it off with the same or similar juice until its performance or flavor is degraded too much and then I start a new carto. Since I alternate a pair of cartos, I can usually get 2-3 weeks or more use out of a Boge. In stuffing-type cartos like Boge I find thin clear juices make my carto work well longer so I use 20% or less VG juices and look for thin clear juices that leave little or no flavoring sediment.

Re any 510 atty - no. Slim 510 uses standard resistance. Low resistance can damage slim batteries. You may be able to go as low as 2.5 ohms on a slim 510. (Though 2.5 ohms will use your battery charge faster than 2.8 or 3 ohms). And you don't want above 3.2 ohms - anything higher is usually HV aka HR for higher voltage ecigs.

Thank you to everyone who took time to reply to me on this!! You have been VERY helpful and I THINK I have found what I am looking for:

3.7 volt starter kit with Tank System Atomizers. 2 complete e-cigs!
Available in 5 colors, black, white, wine, pink and stainless.

Features:

Size:130mm *14mm
Atomizer Resistance: 2.2 ohm
Battery capacity: 900mAH
Charge time: 2 hours

Kit details:

Zipper case: 1pc
Mega Atomizer: 2pcs
Battery: 2pcs
Wall Charger: 1pc
USB Charger: 1pc
Type A cartridge: 5pc

Now... since the atty is not LR...2.2 ohms should be ok??? And it is a manual unit....

Best of luck to your new purchase!!! And this is the place for all your answers, chances are, i would of bought a blucig and been bummed had i not found this site before hand. ECF and vaping go hand and hand.:vapor:

ps: If that is what is in your kit, you will be fine....and 900mah batteries will handle a LR atty if you decide to try them out. :)
