Ive only been vaping a few weeks and im still on my first e-cig, which is a rn4081 with a cartomizer made by The safe cig. I love it but would like to find somewhere less expensive to get the cartomizers. They cost $2.50 each from The safe cig.. I ordered some from AZsmoke but they are not as good as the original cartos. Anyone familiar with these cartos and know where I can get some for a more reasonable price? Thanks

My father also has the safe cig. He loves the prefilleds that are available from safe cig. I'm trying to find out for him what kind of juices safe cig uses for their prefilleds, anyone know?

Which prefill does your Father use? Safe Cig only offers 3 flavors (2 tobacco and a menthol). I thought they tasted terrible as did several others here that posted reviews. I dripped menthol juice into the "Traditional" cartos which made it palatable, then refilled the carto with better tasting juice when it was empty.
I guess my opinion is, ANY tobacco flavor from any juice vendor is going to taste better than what is supplied by Safe Cig. You might want to start by trying the Pall Mall flavor from FSUSA.
If your Father is buying their menthol cartos, that's a different story. The Safe Cig menthol cartos are extremely strong flavored. You will only get that strong of a menthol flavor if you buy menthol crystals and mix them into the tobacco flavor of your choice.

I received the blank RN 4081's I ordered and have been using one for about an hour now. The vapor hole is a bit smaller than the stock Safe Cig carto, but I don't notice any less vapor production because of it. I'm guessing it contains less packing material as the draw has quite a bit lower resistance than the stock carto--I like it much better. They didn't come with a quick pop-off end cap, so I filled it without any problems using a syringe.

OK
I have the Safe Cig... my first PV.

Refill the Safe Cig cartos using the condom method. Do not throw them out.

As far as pre-filled taste/vapor - you are correct. I don't give one hoot what any site says - IMO they are brutal. How people use these is beyond me. If that is all I had to use, there is no way I would vape.

Cool. The Safe Cig cartos are pretty good filled with liquid. I have SmokeStik cartos as well. The two are different - different type of draw. I think I like the safe cig ones better...

I think the SS cartos would be better on a more powerful PV than a 4081...because the draw is a bit tighter on them.

I notice the draw is a lot harder when the carto is heavily saturated with juice. I get the best draw and vapor by limiting the amount of juice in the carto and replenishing it more often. I also get better control over how much juice it put into the carto by refiling it through the battery end with a syringe, instead of using the condom method.

DocWyatt, have you looked into using a larger battery with a 4081 adapter?

That's because using the condom method saturates the filler way too much, not allowing air to flow through the filler, which causes harder draws. Then you have the mess to clean up and excess juice to blow out.

I don't know what kind of cartos you're using, but if you have the Boge 510, SLB 510, 4081 or KR808D-1 cartos, it's much easier to just drip directly into the filler from the mouth end. Then you have no mess to clean up (no condom, syringe, needle, and desktop to clean) and you've saved time, because it's so much quicker to refill a carto by dripping in about 10 to 15 drops directly into the filler (depending on how empty the carto is).
