Starting my 72nd hour with the Odysseus. Made a dozen coils but over the last 48, been running a 1.4 at 3.7v

Funny thing is i hated 3.7 and have been vaping at HV for more than 6 months

This is the perfect machine for me. The Ebony "slip tip" is nice. I dont need to remove it to fill either, just spin the top cap and slip tip together and lift off the whole top end. I fill right into the Ody and i can inspect the coil while filling.
After lunch, I'm going to make one out of my last chunk of Amboyna Burl.
This one is clarinete grade Ebony. If you look closely, you can see a bit of golden grain pattern that comes up through the black ebony. The thing is sealed with beeswax and i can drip right through it.

This thing still amazes me after 3 days.

I vape mine at 3.7 also.

Quite enough for me as I have not gotten into the HV VV thing, yet.

Did you turn that ebony on a wood lathe?

Turned out very nice. :)

I wood turn and might have to make up something myself.

Just a .375 forstner bit on a drill press, then drilled a 3/16 tip hole and made a mandrel out of a 3/16 ss machine bolt

I'm going to try some curly maple next

Good deal Torqueguy, looking forward to seeing it.

I turned up a nifty one out of some claro walnut. I'll post a pic of it after the poly dries

Walnut is nice. I have some French Bastogne. I used to make custom .... plates out of the stuff. Amazing wood. Very dense

That is one sweet looking stock on that rifle.

The tiger striping is wonderful! :)

Here's that claro.

This mouthpiece is designed to go against the lips more so than inside the mouth, much like a game call.

These are fun to make. I'm going to dig around and see what other stock I have that will compliment the GG's.

Gorgeous wood. I like the game call concept. The rifle is an orig Win 1885. Used as a .22 cal trainer for US Troops going to Spanish American war

Happy New Year everybody

I've crossed the 96th hour mark with the Ody. Its the only thing I've vaped during that time. No tanks, no carto's, no Chinese attys. The flavor and richness of the vape is amazing as is the quality of construction. I cant put this thing down. I've been experimenting with different wires, wicks ect. The best wick so far is Bruce's by far. What i did do was cut an extra piece of wick slightly longer than the coil section so when i wrap a coil now, i wrap over a double section of wick but have single strands running down through the channels. This permits a larger coil diameter and extra wicking at the coil.

I guess my 96 hour conclusion of this week long experience is that I'm finally finished in my vaping search. I've found my lifetime GG devices which will last forever, and I'll never be subject to the Chinese Attys which are the Achilles heel of vaping.

My goal now is to extract my own nicotine from tobacco and master DIY juicemaking.

Imeo, I hope you're making more Ody's because it is without reservation the best device ever invented for vaping, ever

Here's Woody with the Ody and an assortment of tips i made en Ebony, Wenge and Amboyna. Got a Cocobolo cooking on the lathe downstairs

Happy New Year

Thank you very much for your very kind words Torq. I think that I am done with atomizers. Ody is an atomizer that works exactly as we all want and it will be able to do everything when its updates will be ready for the market.

I just now saw your mouthpiece!!!!! Exellent thought and exellent construction. Like vaping a cigar. I like it very much buddy. If its able to turn the steel mouthpiece without problems then its a winner for sure:):)

Thanks Imeo. It uses a strip of masking tape wrapped twice around the metal tip. That gives the mouthpiece enough grip to make it one piece in functionality. Makes twisting the tip much easier.
It's what old fat guys with too much time on their hands do for fun!
