Finally got one of the part kits put together. Refinished the whole mod to get out machine marks. Was totally polished...then tapped off the ends and brushed the middle to match my Origen Dripper.

I must say...now I understand why David doesn't want to make any more of these...putting it together is massively time consuming. I've assembled and reassembled this one 5 or 6 times due to issues with everything fitting well...and of course to refinish it...each time I got faster at it but it still took way too long to be worth the man hours.

That Shockwave is a Frankenstein Monster......:evil:

If you put a Parts Kit together...Where did you get a Top Cap??? SuperT had every part for sale except the Top Cap from what I remember...

I would assume he's referring to the internal switch components. That's all I ever remember being sold (certainly no bodies, top caps, bottom master switches, etc.).

Yeah, there was actually. A kit with a body, switches, etc. everything but the top cap. There were like 4 or 5 of them offered way after the fact; extra parts David had sitting around.

Hmm, interesting. I must have missed that or forgotten about it. I might have tried to get such a kit. Oh well.

Yes and I think he bought most of the Shockwave Kits......

We have some Shockwave spare parts kits.

Please Note: We have no top caps, not even a single one, so there is no way to make a complete Shockwave out of

these kits: Super T ~ Parts & kits

Or practice his machining skills by trying to build a top cap.
I think you hit the nail on the head.................

U.S.
For those that have that kind of desire for a certain object usually have a LOT of money. 2000.00 or more for those that have that amount of money is like 200.00 for us "average" types or even 20.00.

We all have our opinions on "flippers" most of us dont like it because it means that we can not obtain it or just plain morals. But flipping is a way of life in most areas where money is involved. I mean, we hear all the time how people make money flipping houses, cars, stocks, bonds. We often hear how someone finds out that the old rickety chair that was given to them by some in-laws that was thought of as ugly is suddenly worth thousands and thousands. Or that painting we bought at the flea market is a rare "whatever" and is worth millions.

WHo amoung us if we had that kinda money would not spend it on something we really , really wanted ? Its human nature to desire that which is rare and gives us status over the average person. Hell, I saw some horribly ugly gaudy, POS jeans for 15,000 on some website. Its all relative.

But , honestly YES its crazy :)
