sigelei brings us a pretty darn nice 20W mod here. They're using the SX200 chip here and its quite a performer. Some might like to say its a clone but its not. Yes it has the same parameters as another popular 20W chip but its not a clone. In fact there's alot more in the works from that chip company. As for the sigelei mod below are some basic parameters. Check it out closer here at varitube.com

Power Range - 7W-20W
Output Voltage Range - 3.0V-8.5V
Atty Resistance Range - 0.5ohm - 3.0ohms
Battery Voltage Range - 3.2V-4.2V

Stainless steel construction with a blasted finish feels great in the hand and leaves no finger prints. Machined top cap with air intakes allows for flush atomizer fit. Sub-ohm capable.

This unit brings cutting edge performance with the quality fit and finish we've come to expect from Sigelei ... and at a price half of most other 20W mods.

I have not tried the NCR's...we just recommend IMR's which doesn't mean others wouldn't work and the NCRs are a fine battery.... Not sure if protected versions and the board will get along though.

The short Legend tube screws right on but the finish is shiny vs blasted. And have to keep in mind battery life on an 18350 will be short if running high power. I have not yet seen a tube or cap that will allow an 18490 or 500 unfortunately.

I was looking at the Panasonic NCR18650B (believe that it is not protected, just not as high Amperage & discharge as some IMR's was my understanding of these Panasonic's), I am triple checking I guess you can say since you're selling them and noticed the IMR comment on your page, but could not find it elsewhere. I will not be running subohm gear.

Would you mind sharing a link to the short tube (would be nice if it was the same finish but I guess a wrap could possibly solve this issue as well)?
And what is the height of a "20W "with a short Legend tube on it. I don't mind carrying a few batteries around, need something smaller when I take it to work. Thanks for your time and posting.

Therin lies the rub.....nobody is carrying just tubes. I've been asked enough times that we're going to bring some in but we don;t have any at the moment. That being said they all use the same thread....zmax tubes fit on as well. SO while not listed we have some options if absolutely necessary. I've been running the 18650 in this thing after running only 18490 and 18350 in the other mods....simply for battery life.

I see...

People want options and options make sales :D, many want an option to convert to a smaller mod and don't mind carry some extra batteries. Thats The boat i am in. Carrying that thing around with a tank on top through bus rides and trains, walking in the streets, not cool. On the weekend or evening I could switch back to full tube and not have to deal with swapping batteries as often. Just sharing a view point. I think this is a step up on the eVic and not everyone (requires) a 30W version (when it eventually comes). I think the price point is good for what it is and don't have to wait months for a DNA devices while they hold on to my money. My only gripe is it length for travel, its too long. If there are purchasable mods to help in this area, it should work out well. Its not perfect but its not $250 with endless waiting.

I agree Mad....I too prefer the shorter tube and spare batts. We just don't have them at this time. They actually are telling me soon for an 18490/500....just tonight. But while we're waiting I do have some options we can talk about offline.

As to performance we should see the independent numbers very soon but performance-wise its a DNA20 match IMO....except its not a clone.... other than performance....we'll find out soon though. Heck we'll have 30W boards soon too for the modders to mess with.

Shoot us an email anytime if we can help with anything!

@1design1, yeah I saw one video and some posts and am aware of the 30w and other boards they are working on. But honestly in terms of watts they are over kill for someone like me. The 20w is made (complete) and can be purchased today so that is what counts. My personal thought is to figure this out or buy a eVic which I almost did a few days ago. If you have contacts or a eVic body around or someone u know to check if the threading is the same. The third party body (Greek or eVic style) would be one option, another is the legend body as you stated, and third if I understood you is they are working on a shorter matching tube (unknown date?). Am posting here as it may help others and quite sure it would pickup sales in general knowing what options are available with this unit.

P.S if you want to PM me thoughts/advise/options that's cool too.

Here's what I can tell for sure at this point:

The Zmax telescope tubes screw on. One has the body grooves the other from the flat top has the fine circumferential lines.

The Vamo tube screws on and has to use its cap. Problem here is the diameter is smaller (skinnier) but it takes an 18350 fine.

We have some of all of the above if needed.

The Legend tube does fit and thats an option by request. Its just we have them paired with the LEgend but since we will be stocking them we can let a few go for this purpose.

If you remember the ANyVape CVI we have some of those tubes as well and they do not screw on all the way. They start but do not seat. I do not have an Evic but I thought those control heads were interchangable.....if so the Evic is not an option. But I have a couple inquires out to folks to check for me. will pass along what I find.

Finally they did tell me they have a matching tube for the 490/500 batt "soon" .... in my experience soon can be next week or in a month. I will try to pin them down over the next couple days.

Thanks Jim and Mad for the questions and thoughts. Tried to answer all the points here. Let me know what else comes to mind!

Please let me know if an 18490/18500 tube becomes available from Varitube. Preferably in the same satin finish.

However, if the telescoping Zmax tube with the horizontal rings/lines can screw on the control head, and if you sell those separately, I would be interested to know the price. PM me if necessary please.

Thank you for your help.

I would like to see the Kamry tube on it. You mentioned that the Zmax telescoping tube fits as well. Is that available separately, or do I have to buy the mod?

Once again, thank you for your help with this. It may seem weird to some people that I want to use a shorter tube, but it's just a personal thing. I really hate excessively long devices. I bought the 20W because I loved the features. I didn't realize that with a Kayfun and a drip tip it is 8 inches!! It's a freakin' light saber. I might as well carry a 4 D-cell mag flashlight with an atty attached.
