I've been using Cartomizers for the last 45 days. I like their convenience. However, I just ordered a tank cartridge system as I wanted to see what tanks were all about. I've read a couple of things recently indicating some thicker juices do not work as well in tanks. I was also looking at 'Ms. T's favorites' list on her website and she mentions a few of the thinner flavors she prefers in tanks & some thicker darker juices she prefers in cartridges. I read where Brandon said the 'unflavored' is the thickest juice since it is the base of all of them.

Is there a way to easily distinguish which flavors are the thickest and might not work as well in a tank system?

Also, what makes a flavor thick. Does a flavor with more ingredients result in a thicker juice, or is it the other way around? Or is it something else?

Any insight is appreciated.

Thanks in advance and you guys rock :headbang:

Though I haven't tried a ton of liquids from everyone, I haven't really come across any that you can't use a tank system on. I've been using the Ego 510-T tank system since I've first started vaping, and I'm just now (out of curiosity) plan on trying out a VISION Ego Stardust Clearomizer this week, but with the tanks, if I come across any "thick" liquids, I make it a point to clean the atty out a little more often.

Yeah, I know the visual test, but I was wondering if there is some way to know pre-order.

It would be cool if there was a list somewhere on the website listing the thickest/thinest juices.

Or maybe I won't experience any challenges or wicking issues with my new tank system as it relates to thicker juices. Hopefully that will be the case.

I might be able to help a little here. There is no actual list of what is thicker and what is thinner, it varies wildly. We do list (on each product description) which have no artificial colors though. These do tend to work a little better in the tanks than the darker ones for some reason. The whole wicking thing is very interesting. Some people express issues with it, some have no problems even on the thicker juices. Ms T is very familiar with the eGo tanks, and prefers the Type B over the Type A. The Type B is the larger, cylindrical one (Type A is the smaller cone shape). She feels that these wick better. This is possibly due to the larger tank capacity. There also could be a difference in the size of the needle that pierces the cartridge between the Type A and B, but I have not confirmed this.

One thing I noticed personally is that if my eGo T starts to taste a little dry, a couple of good sharp, harder drags without pressing the button can help to rewet the wick and increase flow. We are hearing some good things about the Tube Tanks that actually have inside them a cartomizer with a punched whole in the side. Ms T has ordered us a couple of these from Volcano (along with some Lavatubes!) and we will be trying them soon ourselves. I know that my Dad uses one of those Tube Tanks with his New Watermelon/Menthol mix (which is fairly thick), and he LOVES it.

As far as what constitutes a thicker/thinner juice, it goes like this. Our Unflavored E-juice IS our base mixture without flavorings. Therefore, it technically is the thickest juice we have (everyone knows our mixture is more VG than PG). Flavorings are added to this mixture. Our flavorings come from multiple companies, and often several are mixed together to form one of T's recipes. Depending on the strength of the flavorings, how many are used, etc, one juice may contain a higher ratio of flavoring than another. These flavorings are all PG based. So, it makes sense that a juice with a higher flavoring ratio will contain more PG, therefore making it thinner. I hope that makes sense.

Good to know about the addition of artificial colors. Thanks

Thanks for the insight Brandon
