With all of the weird materials used for cart mods, I came up with something simple that can be done with a common household item, and works great!

--INTRODUCING--

The Tissue Plug Mod!

You'll need:

A single sheet of *double layered* Tissue from a Tissue dispenser (not the scrunchy kind you wrap gifts with - the kind you blow your nose with). Make sure it doesn't have any added ingredients like aloe and vitamin E.

Scissors

A straightened paper clip

How to:

Cut a 1/2" x 1/2" square from your tissue.

Fill cart 3/4 of the way full with your preferred e-juice.

Place the tissue square you cut on top of the cart evenly. Push it down with the paper clip until it is flush with upper lip of the cart.

Vape away!

I found the tissue does not burn or scorch, is neutral in flavor, and does not leak - it holds the juice very well, yet keeps moist enough to deliver juice to the bridge of the atty.

I use this on my problematic 5v Bartleby/3.7v 510 atty setup with plenty of smooth vape and no leakage! :D

If you push it (1/2" x 1/2") down with a paperclip how does it connect to the atty? I picture it having to get pushed in a long way for all that to go in the cart.

Not really. You push it in until the end of the tissue lines up with the end of the cart. When you connect the cart to the atomizer, the bridge pushes the tissue where it needs to be, making contact with the bridge.

The tissue becomes wet and clings to the side of the cart.

Update: Be careful when refilling the cart - be delicate with the tissue plug because it can fray easily when wet. I suggest changing them every few refills. Because tissue is so common and inexpensive, I don't think this is much of an issue.

Kleenex tissue is "made from wood pulp and is treated with special ingredients that give it a silky, smooth feel". I wonder what the "special ingredients" are and how they are to vape. Not to mention the fact tissue is flammable.

How long have you been using this? Not to be a jerk but I see so many "this is the best cart mod ever" threads only to find out that they've "been working" for almost a whole 2 hours. Thinking of using tissues sends red flags up in my mind for a number of reasons.

Personally I've been happy with the PTB mod, and tons of people love Highpings simple mod. I just don't see any benefit to this over using one of the non-flammable mods (PTB, Poly, Blue Foam, Silicone Plug, Etc., Etc.)?

Mike? does this mean I should not post about my fecal matter plug? I found out about it when I tripped in the yard while vaping....:shock:8-o:shock:8-o

It's simple and done with a common household item. No need to take a trip to the hardware or pet store. Blue Foam and Polyfill, I discovered DO burn in the atomizer, especially with a 5v mod. They both dry up fast and don't wick well enough, even with a tiny plug. PTB either leaks like a dripping faucet or is too dry at the bridge contact point. Tastes really nasty, and molten vaporized plastics aren't that healthy to vape. However, the tissue did not burn even when it got a little dry.

I found a spongy material from an envelope moistening bottle that works even better than the tissue, and is much more durable. I'll post that here.

I am a chain vaper and need something that really holds up to the abuse without having to constantly refill every 30 minutes. I'll keep experimenting with different things. All the methods above have their flaws, and I'll find one that doesn't, dammit! :D

Either that, or when I get my MP1 in the mail, I won't have to fiddle around with all these cart mods anymore!
