Well, ahem, husband and I were going to go to the coast and see Bill Engvall yesterday, and both of us got 3 hours of sleep on Thursday night. It's not that we didn't try....tried medication....couldn't take more medication. Got on my heat pump pad, thought I'd get cozy and......nothing....nada....zip. FINALLY got to sleep around 4 a.m., both of us, and our 4-legged girls wanted to go outside at 7 a.m. No sweat. Get a good nap.....few hours.....feel better.....didn't help. Neither one of us could get a nap. It was like, "go to sleep and get a nap to feel better....RIGHT NOW!" Didn't happen. By 12:30 p.m., I was so tired and crabby. I don't even like myself in that condition! So told husband we could still go and just stay overnight, which would leave the 4-legged babies by themselves overnight. We've done this once before, but husband's maltese has been grieving over the loss of our dear Dargo. So, he didn't want to leave her overnight. I know.....we're ridiculous. Finally got a nap, told husband if we could hussled, we could just make it. It's only 150 miles down there and back. We've done that before. He was too tired to make the trip. We slept most of Friday afternoon, and slept like a rock last night. So, the moral of this story is don't buy tickets or plan to go anywhere in advance. :(
