OK guys here is a little trick I just picked up on using my VM. = If you take off the black regular cart that comes with a 510 Atty or a mega 510 Atty and from the fill end of the carto that is the open end, you come back to the first offset where there is the air vent in the cart, take an exact O or utility knife and cut it right at that point straight down cut so your left with only one small offset now, that cart fits right in the vapemate perfectly it almost snaps in place, the draw from this stock cart with the mouth end having the stock little round hole in it will give you a really nice draw and it sucks the fluid from your bottle with the tube in it right into the neck of the VM and it then Auto feeds your vapemate and it also is a pretty cool little end on your vapemate. If you don't want an open drip tip it stops any juice from going into your mouth as well for those that don't like that happening,,,,, Give it a try, you may like it, I really do

I just love these tips and tricks and really appreciate the time people take in discovering them. I just tried this and it works GREAT! Tightens up the draw, juice auto feeds nicely, and no juice in my mouth. I'd say you have a winner, mwa.........thanks! :D

Not exactly sure what you are talking about MWA... could you take a photo of the cart?

I'm really starting to think that the bottle has a lot to do with the "Auto" feed-ability. For example, that day I had it working I was using a soft bottle and then I switched to a clear harder plastic bottle and it stopped auto feeding for me. The sides of the bottle have to give enough to let the juice flow with a light draw. With a harder bottle you have to draw so hard that you pull juice into the mouthpiece. I have some soft plastic bottles on the way and I will get to test this theory out. I'm hoping that they will work for the auto feed. If not then hey, I can always just squeeze the bottle, problem solved. Something you can NOT do with an "Auto" feeder...... lol.....

Keith,

I agree with what your saying however the air pull also has something to do with this, it doesnt always constantly work too, you have to have no air in your line and get a good flow going but does work if set up right. It's very simple man, all you need to do is from the fill end of the cart drag your knife to the first edge, cut right there at that first spot, there is usually the air intake port of the cart there, Im talking a stock 510 cart too right off the Atty, just a 90 degree straight downward cut and it will basically snap right into place in the opening for your tip on the vapemate. You can also adjust this by either leaving the stock insert in or pulling it out which ever you prefer, I'm talking on the mouth end of the cart for this the little round piece that pops out, but when you cut that carto at the other end for the fit you wanna make the cut right at the line where the air intake is on most 510 carts, its about 1/4" in from the fill end of the cart. It works, it fits perfectly, and like I said it isnt a perfect science all has to be right but if so it works, and I'm also using a stock soft 6ml Bottle with the tip cut off about half way with my tube coming up right to the opening of the tip, no further and screwing my bottle in tight, its a little funny when starting to thread the 6ML bottles and you have to give a little upward push when threading it in, in the very beginning but once it takes you just keep threading and thread it all the way in until the last edge on the bottle is up tight to the bottom of the vape mate, I find these bottles the best so far, better then the 5ML Fat little stubby bottles you all are using, simply because if threaded properly and in snug there is no air flow escaping from the threads. Just me 2c and how I like mine set up buddy

Yes I agree the air flow does have an effect on the juice entering the atty chamber. My point was that if the bottle is really soft one can pull juice from it with a light draw. I notice a bit of juice getting into the drip tip receptacle if I try to draw too hard. That is one of the nice things about this system is that you don't have to change your draw in order to feed the atty.

I prefer my shorty wide mouth T tip on the VM because it just fits feels and looks best IMO. I did cut a 510 cart but it doesn't really fit very well for me.

auto draw?
My VM's in the mail... maybe today; but it appears auto draw and squeezing the bottle are both equally satisfying....?
I got my VM on hopes that top feed ala VM, will be like dripping for a different vape than bottom feeding... any observations on the vape from each type?
i.e. squeeze vm, auto draw vm, and bottom feed?

I would compare the VM to dripping mostly. You can get it to auto feed with just the right set up. I got it working one day and was not able to get it going again. I need to try a softer bottle though. I'm thinking the walls of the bottle have to give easy so you can get juice out without pulling very hard on the mouthpiece. Bottom feeding in my opinion changes the flavor quite a bit as the juice has to go through all that mesh below the coil. Plus the atty was designed by our friends in china to feed from the top. The vape mate is one of the first ones to take dripping out of the dripping equation. I enjoy not fumbling around looking for a juice bottle in the car.

It really is quite a nice unit this vapemate, it's becoming my go to Mod on a mod, not hassling with bottles and the whole dripping process all together I'm finding quite nice. plus I love to drip and now my fingers aren't getting those cramps any more from having to constantly squeeze my bottle ( chuckle chuckle ) and a top feed system I have to agree with vapn on our Chinese friends made it for this style with the Attys and the taste is definitely Top Shelf using this method.! Thank you once again David I'm really enjoying this VM, My Brass T-TIPS that you just re-drilled out for me are also awesome thank you again for doing that for me as well.!!!

It is always a pleasure to help out. I do hope that the bottle set up works for you guys as well as it has been working for me.
I am awaiting more bottles as I have yet to find the exact ones I had on hand. The ones David found could be them, I just don't know yet. I am hoping the ones from Lisa are right.
I love how everyone here in the SuperT forum works together to make the vaping experience top notch for all of us. Thank you for providing excellence in your products David. Without you, we would be vaping with subpar equipment.

Thanks for posting this Vapn! Picked up some tubing yesterday. This really makes my drive to work easier, no more carts!!

Yep, the tubing really does make a huge difference in using the vape mate. Glad you are getting along with it as well as I am. I don't know how I did it for all those months, dripping and driving is not safe. Might as well be texting...
