I received both RY4 and VS4 from The VaporStation as free samples, both 5ml bottles, 50/50 pg/vg blend, 16mg. Regardless of the fact that I received them for free, this is my honest opinion of the eliquids I received. As always, taste is subjective. I would like to thank The VaporStation for giving me the opportunity to sample their eliquid. :)

The 5ml bottles received are clear/frost with white tamper-resistant caps, but not childproof. I don't know if their regular sized bottles have childproof caps or not. I did not find this information on their website. For me, this is a good thing as I am older and have no children at home anymore and not really fond of childproof caps. It would be nice though if this was an option for those who do prefer them. Pricing for 30ml is $13.95. It does not appear that these are available in 15ml, however, there is a 50ml sampler pack option (10 5ml bottles @ $23.00) you can try before making the 30ml commitment to one flavor.

I vaped both the RY4 and the VS4 in a Kayfun Lite Plus, 1.3ohm coil, Japanese cotton wicking on a Panzer mod. Since I was receiving samples from a specific list to try, I wasn't sure if they'd need steeping or not but opted to vape the RY4 'as is' and the VS4 a few days later. Both eliquids are a gold/light caramel color - nothing that should gunk up your coils at all. I had no problems with either of them.

RY4 - website describes this as a semi-sweet caramel and spun sugar base coupled with an earthy undertone, and woody notes of cured barley offer a dense, complex tobacco flavor.

I wouldn't consider myself an RY4 expert, but I do love VaporStation's take on this one and thoroughly enjoyed it. The tobacco in this blend is well-balanced, on the medium side with a slight edginess to it and mixed with wonderfully sweet notes of spun sugar that are not cloying or overly sweet. They compliment the tobacco in this blend perfectly. I don't pick up on the taste of caramel so much as a subtle undertone 'feel' of it, if that makes any sense. The blend of tobacco/sweet, one not overpowering the other, is distinctly noticeable on both the inhale and exhale. I've always had a soft spot for traditional RY4's and they used to be a staple vape, but never an ADV as the caramel starts tasting too dessert-like and heavy and I start to lose the tobacco taste after a while. I didn't find that at all in this version and I went right through my sample bottle. If I had bought this flavor from The VaporStation, I would have been very happy with my purchase and considered it money well spent.

VS4 - website describes this as very similar to RY4, but with a few significant tweaks. The flavor itself is robust, having layered notes of toffee, spun-sugar and the earthy texture of a fine Tennessee tobacco.

The tobacco in this blend does seem to be a bit fuller and smoother than it's RY4 counterpart. While it is similar, the VS4 is more complex in that I can taste the different levels of sugar, toffee and tobacco independently both on inhale and exhale which gives it a bit of richness/sweetness, but not overly so. I do like the VS4, but I'm picking up a taste in the background that's kind of throwing the blend for me a little and can't pinpoint what it is (lack of steeping? if so, my bad). I do enjoy the tobacco aspect in this blend very much, though, and the level of sweetness is spot on for me, but for now I like their RY4 quite a bit better. The VS4 may have benefitted from a steep which I didn't give it, so I wouldn't discount it out of hand. Overall it's a decent vape as is, especially if you like toffee for a nice change over caramel, but not a reorder for me until/unless it steeps. I'll probably revisit this one in a week or so.
