So... what batteries would one use for the various voltages?

5V battery:
4.8V NiMH 600mah Battery
5V battery charger:
***NEW*** 5v Dual Bay Charger
You need 2 3.2V batteries for 6V, use LiPO4s, they are the safest chemistry:
AW LiFePO4 RCR 123
You have to use a specific charger for 3V batteries. This has a switch that you can change between 3v & 3.7V:
Ultrafire WF-188 Lithium Battery Charger

Another good thing to have is battery cases:
Clear Ultrafire case holds 2 18650 or 4 CR 123 batteries

I'm using LR Joye 510s and they're working awesomely. I get them in bulk from Vaporkings:

BULK 901 801 Joye 510 and 306 atomizers

Thanks for the link for some GOOD priced atty's, I had not done business with VK yet but took the apportunity to snag bothe the 510 LR's and some of thier 306/'s to compare to Madvapes., I made the order out this morning and already have shipping confirmation from VK!! These guys are fast and not very far from me.

I couldn't resist at the discounted price, so I purchased one last night. I have a question, has anyone figured out whether the io6 works with this unit? I read a couple of comments about it but it looks like nobody has tried the io6 yet?

I volunteer to try this out, if someone wants to ship me an XL. You know... For science!

i reported it a while back...the io6 with the black delrin tip DOES WORK! unfortunately the draw is wayy too stiff. if you loosen the catchcup part then put the cone on it works a little better but im not sure how well it would defend from leaks being that its soo loose now.
the swirl tips DO NOT WORK!
my theory is that the io6 drip tip is a tad too thick. maybe sanding it down a little would work.

if you guys want to try it i get all my ikenvape stuff from 310vapers.com
with code: 5off

Got a noob question for you AG, what drip tips work with the 306 attys on the xl, standard or long? Want to make sure I have ALL my bases covered for when the xl gets here for vaping bliss!

I've been using the regular 306 DTs I got from Avid Vaper when I bought the "Two attys & a DT for $20" deal.

As long as the device has a drip well/catch cup the BF atty/silo work fine. It's just that juice will seep out of those holes, so it's good to have a chamber.... There are tiny o ring/seals to go on the threads to prevent overtightening on one of the popular bottom feeders. The "seals" have been preinstalled on the atty's and silo's I recently purchased--but are not needed at all on the XL.

They might work with a drip shield--but I've never tried it.

What's with all the vaping couch potatoes...

Glad I don't have a wife! :D

I've tried the io6 atty on the XL (the only one I have left after destroying 2 of them due to the tight drip tips! Grrr), and it would not make contact to fire at all. Because it's new, I really don't feel like fooling with it to raise the pin. My luck, my only io6 would also end up in the dead bin.

Any suggestions?

Honestly, I've never been too excited over 18650 mods, as I don't mind swapping batteries every now and again and didn't want a big ol battery, but with The Kick in beta testing....I knew I was going to buy something in anticipation.

It'll be like a bottom fed Darwin when I'm done with it.

The future is bright indeed!
