Well...I got home a while ago...and there it was! I assembled my XL, filled it with Bobas bounty, and let her work her magic. This thing is outstanding! ! Even with the standard atty that it came with. I got a couple of extra 1.5ohm slant attys as well. I haven't tried one yet because I am so pleased with the one it came with.

I am having one problem however. I have tried feeding the juice to the atty the way the instructions suggest. I still get nothing but dry hits using this method (tilt until I see bubbles, then stand upright and squeez) maybe its the thick juice im using? The only way ive been able to get juice fed to the atty is by tilting the vmod downward, and squeezing the bottle while it is STILL in the downward position. Am I doing something wrong?

Please chime in if your familiar with this problem!

Thank you much! You guys rock!!

If it works, do it that way! Just don't get too aggressive or you will flood & liquid will escape out of the drip tip. I suggest you try the squeeze with it horizontal.

I've had no problem using some pretty thick liquids, but I'm not a Boba's fan and don't use all VG. Long ago I heard you can add a drop or 2 of distilled water or PGA in the bottle to thin it down, if you would care to do that.

Also -- take the tip off and watch. That's the best way I know of to learn what position or amount of push is needed. Soon you'll learn when to do it, too, and have it down pat.

I assume you primed for at least a minute or two? Did you get that snap crackle and pop? lol

Not surprised you like the 2.0. The kits are all pro slant coil (shi-fu) now AND 2.0 is my favorite for the Vmod. Yeah, I know, most of the guys like the macho 1.5.

Thank you much Tearose! Tilting it horizontally seems to have done the trick! The "slight learning curve" that I've read so much about, is spot on. Definitely not difficult, just takes a little time to figure out how a particular juice reacts with the feeding system.

Like I said a while ago...this thing is outstanding. It's only been a few hours, but the taste I am getting is so much more apparent, then my clearos. I've still got love for my Evods and such, but this pretty girl is second to none!:)
I've been vaping so much since getting it, my head is spinning. Lol. I've got to put it down though...waking up for work at 5:00am is going to come mighty fast!

One more question...if ya don't mind...how often should I give my atty a "vodka bath?" And for how long should I let it loung in the vodka for? I know Bobas does a number on attys, so I would like to do all I can to preserve the life.

And yes...the 1.5ohm atty, is definitely a guy "macho" thing! Lol! :2cool:

@time2quit what tearrose said is pretty spot on. Bobas may cause some issues especially if you chain vape. I'd maybe thin it with a drop or two of distilled water if you keep getting frequent dry hits. Enjoy...

I leave mine in everclear overnight and then use a cheap ultrasonic cleaner I got from harbor freight as necessary. Gets them pretty clean. Not original state but, close. Last resort is a dry burn.

2 hours. I do one hour for the atty, and one hour for me. ;)

You can do the vodka soak once a week, or more often if you like. Whenever the atty seems to not be performing... that would be fine. It won't hurt the atomizer or change it as dry burning it can/does/eventually will.

Sometimes I'll take a toothpick and very GENTLY go around the atomizer to sort of lift off the build up. If you do that, I'd suggest that you be gentle so as not to disturb the wires and placement.

If it were a macho guy thing, wouldn't we all be going with the bigger number? :D

There's nothing like a great vape! Way to go. Glad to see someone enjoying their "slant coil" "shi-fu" atty.

I don't think boiling atty's is a good option thought it might be OK. (I know I tried re-viving carto's that way.....only once.) PGA is good because it is a great solvent as well as being consumable. I've heard Vodka (easier to find) is the best booze alternative.

Ages and ages ago I read about someone who used to rinse their atty's with PG over night, blow them out and start fresh every day. It could be a PIA, but worth it to do something similar.

As some don't like having that other bottled stuff around, PG's a possible good alternative, too.

I used to buy something called "Purge Atomizer Cleanser". I have no idea what the ingredients were, but it worked great. It's instructions were to put in a few drops, wait 5-10 seconds and blow it out.

Well...others have brought this stuff up since, but I thought I'd remind folks that a couple of pages ago I mentioned a few tips for feeding the atomizer! lol!!! Just for reference:
Personally I find that after the initial upside down tilt (after a new fill of the bottle or if the Vmod has been sitting idle and upright a long while) and watching for the bubbles...I seem to do best with holding the Vmod horizontal (I like to hold it up to my ear..but that's just me. I like listening for the little "squirk!") then I sort of tap the bottle LIGHTLY...hear that little squirk noise and then just vape. I don't "squonk" or "tap" every hit. Not at all!! In fact, depending on if I'm chain vaping...I may not have to tilt horizontal and tap for quite a good bit as the juice will continue to feed into the chamber. Once the bottle gets down to around 3/4 empty...it'll become necessary to "tap" much more often, and really...it's best to just go ahead and top off the bottle at that point. YMMV.

If you dry pull too hard, or tip the Vmod nose down too far while "squonking" (tappnig), or squeeze too hard... you can flood the atty or carto if you aren't careful. If that happens you can often clear things by holding the Vmod upright and slowly compressing (squeezing) the bottle pretty much all the way in...then releasing. That should pull most of the excess juice in the carto/atty back into the chamber/bottle. Try it a couple of times if you really did a number on it. If push comes to shove...take the atty/carto out of the Vmod and gently blow it out into a tissue or the juice bottle.

I mean...you know. Just so's ya know....:D

there's a 20% off everything coupon 5h2tt not as good as the 50% but it helps a little. Has anyone tried their juice sour apple or their new vookah flavors?

No but, I've found that most hardware suppliers don't have the best liquid and liquid suppliers don't have the best hardware. There are always exceptions though..

Just wondering how long you all expect the replacement bottles to last. I've been using the same one from day one now and being really careful when I refill it. But I've noticed today it seems to be going a bit softer than normal, could this be a sign it might need swapping out soon. I've got about 5 spare bottles so it's no big deal really.

When my bottles get soft and mushy they don't work as well..but do work, kinda. I prefer to switch to a newer, more firm bottle. Just works better. Never had a bottle split or anything like that...but I did have to retire one that just wasn't cutting it and was causing hassles. I stocked up on bottles and O rings from the get go. Stuff does happen.

Oh yeah..could be my imagination but washing the bottles fairly often in plain hot water (preceded by a vodka bath if necessary) helps keep tne bottles going better. I've got bottles I'm still using after 4 months heavy use...and some only a few weeks old that seem mushy. Luck of the draw.

Thanks for the tips fourth, I knew I could rely on you for some good advice.

That's exactly what's happening to my bottle, sort of going soft and mushy and I'm only getting one small air bubble on tilting and tapping rather than 2 or 3 big bubbles, hope that makes sense.

I tend to give it all a good shower once a week, it seems to perform a lot better after that. As I said, I've got plenty of spare bottles (as well as seals and attys). Just needed a bit of confirmation that "soft bottle syndrome" was a real ailment

So thanks again for the heads up.

The Vmod XL is calling me back to give it a second try...dang those voices!
Not to mention kids678935 with encouraging pokes.....LOL

Why oh why did I sale the one I had, yes my patience was the killer on that one. Everything good takes time Cammie, there go those voices again :)

Now I just need to figure out what Attys to get with it to give me the best experience. I have read through most of this thread and take it the hybrid slanted attys are best? I assume these are from vapage. I need to go back to a message from kids too. Anyone use the AMG hybrid and what kind if life do you guys get out of your attys?
Now if only I had the 50% off code :(. I think mine was 20%
