That might explain some of Kat's posts :D

You're looking for Everclear Deb. Think there's variations on proof. 170 and 190 depending on the state. Very flammable so be careful. Can be used for tobacco extraction as well...

Oh Edward. You like my posts and you know it. Admit it. It's known to be the first step... ;)

Everclear here in my part of the Universe is way too expense for what you get. As tearose said, a cheap vodka does the trick. Trader Joe's is my recommendation for those that are fortunate enuf to HAVE a TJ's nearby. Vodka of the Gods, I believe is the designation.

And nooooooooooooo, Eddie, I would never drink that stuff! (nor would I clean attIEs with Kettle or Goose.)

Pssst... as of right now that coupon code is still working. It probably will be until someone arrives in the morning to wind the computer back up again.

BUT: Their e-mail server doesn't appear to be working. I tried a half dozen times to reset the password on my account as required and it's just not giving up an e-mail to do a password reset. (Yeah, I checked all the obvious places.) Just checkout as a guest so you can still use the code.

It also didn't send an e-mail confirmation for my order either. I expect an e-mail box full of Vapages - including a half dozen password resets - when they wind up the computer in the morning.

I'm use to the MVP2 with a tank. I was getting 2+ days on those.

MVP is not a mechanical mod, it has circuitry. And it also has a built in polymer lithium huge 2600mAh battery.

Loose lithium batts for mechanical mods like the XL would take a 18650 batt and the AWs come in 1600mah or 2000mah

I know RTD has Efest IMR 18650 2500mAh but they are 35 amp and way overkill for the vmod if they can even be used at all. I've never even owned anything that could effectively USE 35 amps. :)

That said, you would probably do better with the AW batts, ..... I have found that cheaper batts get "tired" more quickly. In the AWs there is actually very little performance diff between the 1600 and 2000 as a matter of fact the 1600's reports are better.

You should get about 8-12 hours on one of those AWs, which is about all you will ever get in a mechanical mod with a single batt.

A soak in grain alcohol works well too. Not rubbing alcohol...I just bought a professional ultrasonic cleaner. Will let y'all know how it works on a old atomizer. Really bought it to speed steep liquid. Runs 50 minute cycles...

ultrasonics work great.

I used to clean atties with everclear. I would not leave them in over 4 hours. Vapage atties gave me a metal taste after leaving in too long, I think solvent as strong as Everclear can damage the "cheapo" metals that all vaping stuff is made out of (no knock on vapage here, they're all the same).

So, I switched to Denture Tablets, they work the best of anything I've used so far. They just fizz away the gunk and are not hard on the metals/wires

Is there any risk to using denture tablets? Vaping left over residue or whatever? Obviously safe for ingestion.

I initially bought a harbor freight ultrasonic cleaner and it only runs 3 minute cycles. Useless for steeping liquid. Worked okay on atomizers. The new one I ordered has the 50 minute cycle and HEAT. Fancy stuff right there people! Will let everyone know if it's worth the $150 I paid for it.

None that I know of. They are anti-bacterial, so they will kill germs. But they also have emulsifiers as well as enzymes that break down stuff like plaque, which if you've ever had your teeth cleaned sonically, plaque has to be sand-blasted off, so to speak.

I find the effervescence is good and negates the need for a sonic cleaner, it puts some "action" in the water, but also, the solution when placed in water seems "kinder" to metals and coils than Everclear.

I have left stuff in everclear too long and it turns the metals a sort of bad color, to me. Maybe it takes the finish off, I dunno. I just don't like using it anymore. Seems very caustic?
