Been perfecting this 90 to 100 rocking motion while vaping w/hh and omg this thing puts off crazy plums and flavor when you do that. I have a SS ming tip on and you can kinda feel the juice flowing so you just rock it back to 90 and it's all good.

Managed to lose the Vivi under my gazebo.
Will definitely be picking up some more as I was very impressed.
Ok the reason I dug out the Vivi was I had noticed the 357 getting warmer. I ohmed it at 1.0 yesterday and posted on the 357 thread but no response as yet whether to clean or not.
Decided that is what I am going to do. Don't know why these attys of 1.5 are all doing the same thing Aero's after 3 months now 357 after 3 weeks. Think I will get out the vodka and see what happens.

Thanks for the detailed instructions Fernand. Andy the Vivi sounds interesting will have to try that one once I have read a bit more about rebuilding atty's.

Just warmer as you would expect.
Seems to be a path I follow with attys. Takes me blowing one up to learn how to use it.
If that happens in this case will be disappointed as I was actually patiently learning others before getting it. Will be getting another as they are very good. Maybe 2.

Is yours the long barrel? Have you tried the short version since they did the revision I was wondering if it is still a spitter, I have had zero spitting on my long barrel which I'm pretty sure is the revised version.

I will not second guess Fernand; he knows his stuff... but will say I revere my Provari's since they first came out. I've had at least one since 2010, and love having my V2 (sorry this is a Vapage thread, but imo VV Tube mod is not same species as the XL Vmod B/F). For those of you that don't know the science of it all, the internal meter of the Vari has taught me everything i know about vaping.
I may put Fernands method for the 357 on the XL to use someday... 'til then I keep an Aero on my XL, which along with the AVA i have found to like on an other hard hitting VV, are the only other atomizers besides the HH357, that I really like. It's smooth and hassle free.
BTW, Hanna says not to blow from the d/t side of the 357, but "gentle", as Fernand says, shouldn't hurt. Another way to blow it using an XL would be to take if off and blow from the recommended threading side.
IF you are getting "gurgle" and little vapor, it's over fed = flooded = not good. Less is better although I'll repeat; dry hits are not a good norm. Over feeding is why it's taken me so long to get used to bottom feeders, but then it took me a while to realize that was the problem; it's very simple really.
IMO the HH357 is the best atomizer available today but forgive me if I sound condescending when i say, you have to have a pretty good understanding of "the care and feeding of" an atomizer. In other words if you know how to drip.

BTW I just cleaned my V2 Longbarrel 510 1.5 HH357... it started out as a monster vapor, with somewhat tight draw, which is unusual for 357 imo. It's gotten even tighter after 2 weeks and will report after cleaned and dry. It's so tight that the vodka wouldn't flow out of the bottom much. Seems to me Hanna put more filler and the taste is not as clean as the 901's but still a monster.
I've got another shortie 510 HH357 on hand, but currently rotating 3 901's and the LB, so won't be sampling soon, i hope.
I've found that since finding 357's, little interest in other things vape. I sold about $400 worth of pv's and accessories and bought a doz. 357's a month ago.

My 357 and Aero's are now sitting in some plain VG.
Vaping a Hybrid that is performing quite well so will run that for a little while. Will blow out the 357 and see if my cleaning has made any difference probably on Wednesday.

The atty's that I am not actually using at the moment get loaded with plain VG to stop them drying out. I mean absolutely certain with around 1ml in each in a resealable bag. Once their turn comes I blow them out and on the XL they go for an initial squirsh and away we go.
Didn't realise VG could be used as a cleaning agent !
Had some spare time when I got home last night and checked the ohm's on the 357 and after cleaning has gone back up to 1.4. Since it was out anyway and the Hybrid seemed to be running a little rough it is back on the VMod.
Been running it this morning and so far not exactly kicking but will give it a couple of days and see.
So it looks as though for me 3 weeks without cleaning is the limit before performance is impaired. Next step is to run it for a few days, load with plain VG overnight, blow out and use. See how that goes.
What happened with mine was that it went through cycles like yours until it had built up a thin hard crust. The dry burns really helped with that, I think. Now it just goes, haven't cleaned it or anything in almost 2 months. If it slacks off, it's because it's flooded. Help the juice settle down into the bottle, tip feed it, and off we go. Another amazing thing is how at 1.5 ohms it runs great from a fully charged battery all the way to when the battery is practically shutting off. Like I said, it's practically boring. Zero maintenance. Just swap the battery, add some liquid, slap it back together, and we're good for another few hours. Andy, if you have more than one, maybe it's worth trying a gentle dry burn?
Hello everyone, Im really curious about bottom feeders and saw the vapage mod on the cov site. I don't really know much about them and was wondering if they were any good, but from the posts i have read here they seem good. I'm curious if they work well out of the box and with what hardware? My background is blu, dripping on 510's, auto echo, 5v wow (tanks and dripping on a vapage hybrid 2.5 ohm atty). Since i started DIY juice I realized I needed the flavor you get from dripping, but it is too cumbersome to do it all them time. I'm hoping a bottom feeder can deliver that flavor with ease. Any tips or referrals to post numbers that have already explained what I'm asking are much appreciated! Thanks!

If I can get the coil to 1.3 consistently it is rather good with a stainless wick and at $4 kicks pretty much everything else other than very good Hybrids, Aero and 357. Afraid even my previous favourite 306's.
Also thinking about the Kick more and more as #2 is Kick ready I can play a bit but as said previously I would rather not lose the 18650 battery.

VMod advantages..they don't leak.

If you like the Vapage Hybrid get a couple of 1.5 Ohm atty's, pop them in the VMod, pop in a charged battery, fill up with 9ml of goodness (if you are smart and buy the XL). Vape. If you want to stick with the 2.5's get 3 - 4 4.8 volt battery's.
Ok so not quite that simple but close.
The learning curve you are going to go through is feeding the atty. But that is really at most 24 hours. Most use a combination of squirshing (read squeezing the bottle) and tipping the VMod so the atty is gravity fed.
The result ? What you ask for dripping flavour without dripping ermm without leaks.
