I was thinking the same thing but check this guy out at the 12 minute mark.
I want one of those hats.

Yeah, 51Vape is in Colonie I guess. Some of the townships around Albany kind of run into each other for me.That the one in Colanie?? Was looking at a couple that way but ended up across the river again in Beacon. Smokers Mecca was the name. Huge selection. Normal prices. Beacon is a massive dump of a town and this is right in the middle. Bought a Starre Pro.
Really pushing my vape luck with the wife but stopped in Herkimer also at Deep Vapors.
Great vapecation but was happy to get west of Albany. Downstate is a little intense for me.

And did you really just call Beacon a dump?? It's a lovely town, believe me. I've lived there a few times, and wish to go back once I have the means. I've been in Smokers Mecca but never bought anything yet.
I guess Upstate is a subjective thing; I always say "Upstate begins where Metro-North ends" and I'm just above Poughkeepsie.![]()
Random thoughts an TC.
Not a fan. Wasn't even actually interested but had pre-ordered a IPV4 and got it as a bonus.
So I played abit. Liked it some but not a ton. None of the things it "corrects" like dry hits and burning have been problems for me. That said it offered other advantages like a very mellow vape which I do like.
I hate working with nickel wire. I hate anything below 26ga and nickel is really soft. Like making coils with fishing line. I also hate single coil tanks and dual nickel is a true joy.

Premade nickel coils work pretty well for me. I don't use many so cost is a non-issue. Finding a TC tank I like was not without cost. People I know make fun of me buying tanks and wasting money but they go out drinking on Friday night and for what I spend on a STM they get a headache and a STD.
Then came the iStick TC. This works much better then the IPV but still not my thing.
Now comes the SX. This is where things get interesting. The SX is TC done right. For the first time I'm really enjoying TC. I don't like long slow draws, I like quick blasts, but TC kinda allows slow better then fast. The SX at 30J and 390 degrees gives almost exactly the same effect as my P=Thingie with half the nic and half the flavoring. But..................................
The SX also has settings for kanthal. Powerful+, Powerful, standard, soft and eco. Now this is NOT TC!!! I would never say this in the general forum as people would cry there eyes out. For purposes of this thread I shall call it mudwomper TC or MWTC for short.
MWTC is hard to describe, its a computer thing. But the chip works a special magic on the kanthal. The SX uses less power to achieve the same goal and then the settings work within that frame work. Say a Chutulu that runs sweetly at 30w on all mods will run at 25w on the SX. So now she's firing nicely at 25w/standard but just missing that little bit. 25w powerful is closer. Hit 25w P+ or whatever. Super smooth vape.
So the irony is that the mod that perfected TC makes it irreverent.
So chucking huge flavorful cloudz the Starre Pro at 60w is a beast. Had to cut my nic down to 3 from 6 for this honey. Filling is easy on this unit which is good cause it needs to be down often.

You're just making that SX even more attractive to me.![]()
Is it as heavy as the Evic-VT?
Andria
Sorry I don't know but I would imagine it is heavier, it is heavy!
You're just making that SX even more attractive to me.Someone recently said they saw a sale price on it about $139, still not in my neck of the woods but definitely coming down! Maybe sometime next year.

No this is a brick... A buddy has one and it's about 16 oz all loaded up with an Aero tank, battery and juice. The Evic-VT feels like a brick -- I thought the CF4 was heavy till I got the Evic!
