That's a big harder than I would normally listen to, but back in the day, after I'd had 1 or 2 and they really hit, yeeeaaaahhhhhhh

Yeah I come from a punk/metal/industrial background, got bored with 'conventional music' in the early 90s when we all started going to raves. Couldnt really get into the 4 on the floor house stuff but whenever someone played jungle it was on. Running drum loops through distortion brought it all back full circle haha. Krackhead is the same guy behind Godflesh, probably my favorite and most influential band alongside Joy Division.. Quite a bit different than the jungle/dnb stuff.. Thanks to listening to them, I learned about a pretty big range of stuff and even got into making my own D&B stuff awhile back. Havent done it in awhile though, cant really stand most 'modern' electronic music.

Afternoon Modwompers. Hope everyone is having a good vaping day. I been doing some flavor profiles on some Inawera vanilla's I received and some butterscotch flavors today. Love doing DIY

Here is something mellow to help the day along. :rickroll:

Good evening Modwompers. Kinda quiet around here tonight, but the music is great :)

So I recoiled a few atties yesterday and did a Mutation X using 27 gauge K at 0.8 ohms with non-contact coils. At 40 watts this thing sounds like it's got firecrackers in it, specially the first couple of seconds! Scared my dog when I first fired it up . I put a little less cotton in one of the MX's than I normally do and I think this is the one. It's a great vape but there's definitely no way to stealth this thing.

G'evening....Mellow Monday....I am not real brilliant on what you did but I wonder if the speed the coil is heating up is so fast that it pops so loud...more of a question than anything.

I figure the wire is in more contact with wet wick since the wick bulges up a bit around each turn of wire.

It's been a mellow Monday for me Panorama :)

I doubt that's it. The other MX has the same 27 gauge wire in it but at 0.4 ohm, so there is half of it (less mass and surface area) meaning that one heats up faster considering they are both running at 40 watts. It also has non-contact coils, I almost always do that lately.

The only difference I think might cause it is the amount of cotton in it. I'll see if this is the one with less in it when I clean it next time. If it is I'll put the normal amount in and see if that makes it quieter and then shortly after try less cotton again. That should either prove or disprove my cotton theory.

And if it's not the one with less cotton, then I have no clue about why it's so noisy ;)

Interesting, I never understood how cotton amount would have any bearing , other than it can retain more liquid. So I assume a larger amount will prevent the coil from vaporizing all the liquid?
